Great robot, but be sure to SAVE THE BOX!
Bot does a great job of cleaning the pool. Very happy with function/performance. It did have an error and stop working after 6 months. The 3yr warranty is great, and Maytronics is happy to repair it. But - you will need to pay for shipping to them, so factor that cost into your calculations. After forum searches when trying to troubleshoot - I determined that these often have issues like mine. I originally thought it might be corrosion of the twist cable (as that is common.) However, mine only had minor non-impacting corrosion. In any case, be sure to save the box for when you need to get it fixed!

UPDATED review. Chronic power supply problems. So far, two have completely failed.
Yet another update: The second power supply has now failed. The first symptoms of the failure were that it had apparently "lost" its configuration and had to be re-adopted/re-connected to my WiFi network, the same as if it were a brand new unit. It lasted for 1 cleaning. The next time I tried to use it, it was in the same state only that time, despite attempting to re-connect it a half dozen or more times, it would not successfully connect to my Wifi network. Mind you, the power supply itself when in use sits less that 30 feet away, line of sight, from an outdoor Ubiquiti Unifi Pro access point that's also supporting multiple WiFi cameras that are several hundred feet away and are all working fine, so it's not a WiFi signal problem. Maytronics continues to pretend that they're not aware of chronic wide-spread problems with these power supplies. Revising this review again. I now truly regret this purchase and wish I have never seen this thing. Here's the latest: It's about a year old at this point, still in warranty. So far we've had one power supply go bad. It took a long time to get a replacement because they were out of stock. I assume because so many of them fail. I just dropped off the whole system at UPS to ship for more warranty work. Now we get nothing but error messages saying that the controller can't communicate with the robot. After talking with support they decided I needed to send the whole thing in (at my considerable expense) to the repair center in Georgia, still under warranty. Here's the telling part: As soon as I walked into the UPS store with that huge box, the counter person said, "That's a pool robot, isn't it?". Says I, "Yes, how did you know?" Counter person, "Because we get a LOT of those." All Maytronics? "Yep". Don't get me wrong, when it works it works really well, but with two big problems still under warranty and the initial cost, I tell you that dumb, simple pressure side Polaris we got with the pool is looking hard to beat. Further update: Checking the UPS tracking told me it arrived at their facility 7 days ago, yet I've heard nothing so I contacted them for a status. Here is what I was told: "• I see that your unit was delivered on 9/25/24. The unit has not been received in the system yet. Receiving is one week behind due to a surge of units coming in needing repairs. The turnaround time is 2-3 weeks after being received in the system. We appreciate your patience during this time. Once repairs are completed the unit is shipped back to you and a tracking email is sent. They also send an email letting you know when the unit is received in the system." So their receiving is at least a week behind, and service is at least 2-3 weeks behind. Why? Because of the number of units that have had problems severe enough to require them to be sent in for service. To quote a friend of mine: " It's h*ll when it's well, but it's sick ALL the time!" Original revision: After having lived with it for about a year now, I'm revising my review. Performance-wise, it works very well and I'm happy with the job it does. HOWEVER: Slightly less than 12 months in, the power supply has completely failed and will not power up at all. Contacting customer support, they agreed to ship me a new power supply with almost no questions asked. In fact it was SO easy that now I'm thinking that Maytronics must already be aware that their power supplies are plagued with frequent failures, especially considering some verbiage I found on their web site about the process for dealing with power supply problems. Also, although the robot itself can be operated without an internet connection or with their app on a smart phone, most of the features are not available without one or both of these. For instance, you can't set up a cleaning schedule, you can't alter the type or the duration of the cleaning cycle, you can't manually "drive" the robot around, and you can't get feedback about the condition of the filters. Their default mode of operation requires an active internet and wifi connection as well as a connection to the Maytronics servers. It's possible to switch the robot to communicate with the phone app over bluetooth, but that option is somewhat hidden in the menus and even in that mode, it's not clear whether or not the system still communicates back to Maytronics. (I could find that out via a Wireshark trace but so far, I haven't cared enough to do that.) I'm still happy with how well it cleans, but the "other stuff" above is now more of a concern to me personally. Original review: We have a large-ish 40,000+ gallon pool Likes: Does a thorough job. Filters relatively easy to clean. Being attached to a cable as opposed to wireless may seem like a con, but it means the suction motors can be stronger and more powerful than they could be if it were 100% wireless which means it does a good job. Climbs/cleans walls and cleans the waterline very well. Dislikes: The Android app used to control it does not have an 'exit' function. You can dismiss the app by using the 'home' button on your phone but the app will continue to run in the background which means it's still consuming memory and battery (and possibly sending who knows what information back to the Maytronics servers). To completely exit the app and stop it, one has to use the phones "force stop" function. (This is probably true of all Dolphin robot cleaners). When I reported this behavior to tech support, they seemed unconcerned and not willing to fix it so now that I know, I always just force stop the app when I'm done.

Dolphin Nautilus Titan 80 Percent (Really Good) On Older Curved In-Ground Pool
I am very happy with this product! I have gone through several other pool cleaning robots (Dolphin Cayman, Premier, and others) to finally get a pool cleaning robot that actually works. It isn't perfect, but I have a very old in-ground concrete pool with funky curves and stairs that was recently resurfaced. My biggest complaint was that other robots always got consistently stuck on the concave deep-end drain. So far, the Titan has been able to navigate the drain pretty consistently. The images show the pool with the Titan underwater. I really enjoy the large basket, but living in the desert where it gets very windy and dusty, the basket accumulates a lot of mud, so it needs cleaning about every three days. Theh Titan can be scheduled via the My Dolphin App, so it runs daily each morning. I I set it to floor mode, and brush the walls and steps manually. This seems to work the best. Out of the box setup was easy, as was the app. As the title says, the Titan is about an 80 percent solution to my pool cleaning (which I consider a win)!. I have not had to run a vacuum since purchasing the unit. The pool had several days of El Paso dust waiting for the Titan to arrive, and after three back to back cleaning cycles, what you see in the images (plus some brushing) was the result from the Titan. Neither the Cayman nor the Premier could handle even a daily cleaning without getting stuck on the drain. I am very pleased with the unit, and my only regret is that I did not spend the money to buy the Titan first ( I am now the proud owner of three pool robots with two parked permanently in the shed). Save yourself the hassle and spend the money on the best unit; you will wind up spending it anyway to get the results you expect.

Last summer was the first year I had the pool robot it worked great. This summer 2024 our second summer with the robot and still works great. It works so well I am questioning the need for the pool company I hire every summer. My pool is 20’x40’ and it does a great job cleaning it. The picture are for today July 2nd, we had fireworks at the house which left a massive mess in the pool. I turned on the Dolphin to start cleaning after the fireworks, then the normal 5 am clean this morning. I was so surprised as to how clean it was when I woke up. Still some debris in the pool but I think that is all due to the wind blowing it in to the pool from the grass during the day. I am also on the second season with my Betta (surface skimmer) these two in conjunction keep my pool super clean. I must say I find the Dolphin filter to be way better than my sand filter! I am a big fan of pool robots!!!
