Great product, great price, with lightning fast shipping.
Product was as advertised, meet published spec with ease. Setup and testing was easy using their usb to ttl adapter. I tested from one laptop to another then from raspberry pi 4 to another raspberry pi 4 but had to create my own config program to change params. as their config s/w was for windows. Was able to operate my remote controlled drone up to 6km while in large city with tall buildings. A lot further in the suburbs. In the desert around phoenix az i was able to get over 10km but had to return due to battery getting too low. Not sure what the newer 1B versions test out at as I buy the older version.

There's no way to set an encryption key in the windows app.

I recently had the opportunity to test the LoRa 433MHz module, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. This module is capable of transmitting a decent amount of data up to 16km, based on my tests. The module itself is small and compact, making it easy to integrate into various projects. With the appropriate precautions, a 3000mAh battery paired with an Arduino pro micro or ESP32, can power the entire setup for 2 to 3 weeks, depending on usage. Of course, the range also depends on the antenna used. With a 17cm antenna, I was able to achieve ranges of 2 to 3km in urban environments with many buildings in between, 6 to 7km in suburban areas, 11km in rural areas, and an impressive 16km in line of sight with the transmitter at a lower elevation and the receiver with me. It's important to note that the base frequency of this module is 433MHz (channel 0). However, as you increase the channel number, the transmission frequency also increases. For example, at channel 161, the frequency would be 433MHz + 161MHz, resulting in a frequency of 594MHz. I am particularly pleased with the purchase considering the module's affordable price tag. It delivers exceptional performance without breaking the bank. For more detailed information, I recommend consulting the module's datasheet.
