I wasn’t expecting much from this moisturizer, but wow — this little tube understood the assignment. My skin is usually oily by lunchtime, and most moisturizers either sit on top of my face or make me look like I deep‑fried something. This one absorbs fast, feels lightweight, and somehow keeps my skin balanced without that greasy shine. The texture is smooth, not sticky, and it layers well under sunscreen. I’ve also noticed fewer random breakouts since using it consistently. For the price, it honestly performs better than some of the “fancy” brands I’ve tried. If you have oily or acne‑prone skin and want something simple, clean, and effective, this is a solid pick. I’ll definitely repurchase.

I have acne-prone and textured skin, and it’s hard to find a moisturizer that hydrates without breaking me out. This stuff is something of a miracle. It is the only moisturizer that doesn't break me out in any capacity. I suppose I would describe my self as the prime candidate for this moisturizer; I do have oily skin. In the two months that I had been using this moisturizer, not one single pimple ever developed. Once I ran out, I temporarily used Ordinary brand moisturizer and within a day I develop a pimple. I know I cannot conclusively attribute that to the moisturizer based on that alone but come on, it gets to a point where you have to accept that this is a pretty damning development and considering no other lifestyle changes, it seems apparent that the moisturizer was the culprit. Going back to using this and my skin once more remains docile. My only issue with this would be the sticky film it leaves, which is invisible, but the reviews are nonetheless true. It's not clear if the stickiness is a necessary condition for its miraculous properties, though.

Overall, I think this is a good moisturizer, especially for those with oily skin(that’s also simultaneously dry, and not combination as in one patch dry, one patch oily. No, I have a whole face that produces enough oil that I could fry chicken with while also being dry and itchy and if it gets bad enough flaky. Don’t ask me why, I just live in it.) like myself. It’s one of the only moisturizers, oil-based or otherwise, that both hydrates and doesn’t make my face greasy. That being said, there are things I both like and dislike about it. Pros: Non-greasy, relatively simple ingredient list(though I don’t know if I’d call it minimalist as the brand name says), moisturizing, makes a good base for makeup, nice texture, good size for the price. Cons: It smells awful. If you have a strong nose like I do it smells almost like old liquor, and it’s terrible. But it’s also fragrance free, so that’s the price we pay(willingly). You’ll sometimes need to use a lot if you’re extra extra dry, but that is also to be expected with a non-oil based moisturizer. The tube design is really annoying, both early on but most especially when you get to the end. I’d pay a little extra for it to come in like a glass container or something.

As with all Minimalist products I have never been disappointed with their products. This stuff works great and even after one use I noticed a difference. I have very oily and blemish prone skin, and this doesn't make me feel greasy or shiny at all. There is no fragrance and that is a plus! This stuff works amazingly as with all the Minimalist products, never a disappointment.

I really wanted to like this moisturizer and have been using it consistently for the past 2 weeks. However, despite it being a great value and having clean ingredients, it unfortunately does not agree with my rosacea/acne prone skin. It has a very sticky texture and causes me to break out in small acne bumps/milia. I sadly wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with very sensitive, irritation prone skin.

Soft on the skin, absorbed easily, lasts all day (even in winter cold weather), good with layering with other products. I recommend using after shower for ultimate hydration.

The only face cream I could find that clearly stated it was oil free, fragrance free and hypoallergenic. I needed it in combination with prescription acne cream which is very drying. This cream moisturised without being overly greasy and it absorbed quickly into my skin. It's fairly light.

Good Moisturizer for oily skin and very lightweight & hydrated. I'm first time use and loving it.
