Great and inexpensive stethoscope for those new to the medical field or just want one for personal reasons. Easy to hear sounds through. The ear pieces fit comfortably.

I purchased this pink stethoscope as a gift for my regular dialysis technician, a lovely woman who was a nurse in Cuba. This week, after almost two years of additional classes while working full time, she was licensed in the US as a registered nurse, and I wanted to give her something to mark the occasion. The stethoscope arrived on time, and upon opening it, I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of construction. This scope has an substantial thick tube, and a heavy duty two sided chest piece. 40 years ago when I started at the Medical College of Virginia, I paid easily three times as much back then for a Littman Cardiology stethoscope, and this appears to be every bit as well made. The carrying case that comes with it is a nice touch, as are the extra chest piece diaphragm and extra ear tips. But the real test of a stethoscope is the sound. So I tested the sound on a variety of medical tasks with the aid of a helpful neighbor. Lung sounds were easily heard, blood pressures easily taken manually, heart sounds, including my neighbor's murmur were easy to detect. As a final test, I was able to clearly assess my dialysis fistula blood flow sounds. This scope has very good sound. I'm really happy with this stethoscope and also with the price, which was just under $20 with tax and free Prime shipping. I'm sure my friend the nurse will be just as happy when she receives it tomorrow. If you have a nurse, paramedic, or student in your life, I think this makes an excellent gift. It is also available in black. I may order one of those for myself.

Great product great quality.

It works better than some of the cheaper ones, heart noises are detectable and more clear than with other cheap stethoscopes. I honestly bought this for no other reason than that it came with a case. This stethoscopes is good for taking blood pressure and that's about it. If you are gifting to a nurse you may want to think about going with a middle of the road price that can detect cardiac sounds.

Not great. For the price it gives you some idea about the pulse and heart but not refined enough for anything which requires more discrimination. Probably would not recommend for professional use
