Poorly designed product
Well These struts and the attachments are well built, but my problems are: 1- the ÉCU bracket still touches even though I cut way more than what the instructions said! I stoped trimming as I might risk damaging that piece beyond it functional integrity. 2- the struts are longer than they should be or they are way too powerful, because the hood when closed is pushed forward few mm. The hood is off alignment from the front grill and increase the gap at the A pillars cowls. Tried adjusting the mounting points etc… spent about three hours fiddling with no luck!! Took them off, and I am really disappointed as I modified the écu bracket now and can’t revert back to original.

Works great! The 392 hood is much heavier so these make it effortless to lift and hold in place.

I added a pair of these to my Gladiator Rubicon, and it was my first upgrade to my Rubicon 392. Aside from trimming the ECU bracket, install was super easy. I did it in 30 minutes including trimming the bracket. The underside of the hood gets hot on the 392, and this keeps me from having to grab the hot prop rod.

These are great hood lifts. The Mojave and 392 lifts are different from the other Jeep lifts. I would suggest betting this lift if you have a steel hood like some of the 2026 models. If you have a Mojave or 392 hood scoop in the center of the hood then you have a steel hood. The 392 requires some modification. On the drivers side you’ll need to remove a metal grommet from the rubber isolator. On the passenger side you’ll need to do some dremeling on a mount. I’ve done that with no problems at all. I have these lifts on my 392 and Mojave and their other lift on my Rubicon. I haven’t had a problem with any that I’ve owned but I emailed a question to them and they responded very quickly. The lift will open easily after a few inches of movement and keep the hood open.

Having a 392 I had to modify the bracket on the passenger side fender. Ground down enough for the cylinder to lay down with the hood closed without hitting it. Works great and no more prop rod to pull down and or get in the way!

Definitely worth it. Amazing with how much ease you can raise and lower the hood on my 392 Rubicon. Easy to install. Not thrilled about having to cut/trim the bracket on the passenger side (as suggested on the instructions) in order for the strut to fit when you close/lower the hood. If you don't read all of the instructions and fail to make the appropriate modification(s) you will damage it. I chose to use a pair of channel locks and bent mine instead of cutting it so I may bend it back should I ever choose to remove the gas absorbers. A little touch up paint and you can't even tell.
