Best overall Pre-workout
Every preworkout is different for everyone. But this is the best preworkout and I keep coming back to it whenever I try different one. Slight tingle but nothing crazy. Good initial energy boost but more importantly it last and gets better during excersize. Also you can do cardio on this preworkout. Some preworkouts I have taken in the past have made me lightheaded or make me puke or feel like puking when I try to do cardio. Also other preworkouts make me rush to the bathroom, this not as bad at all.

Good overall effects and energy but some less than ideal ingredients
Review of: **Evogen EVP Xtreme Blueberry Apple Pre-Workout Powder | Arginine Nitrate, Beta-Alanine, Citrulline Pre-Workout, Nitric Oxide, Nootropics, Focus | 40 Servings** I've tried dozens of pre-workout (PWO) products over the past couple of decades and have a long list of winners and losers. Evogen EVP Xtreme is probably in my top 25%, with some really good elements and some lacking. Quick summary: Pros: -Good energy boost without the "crash", likely due to the combo of natural coffee bean caffeine plus delayed release DiCaffeine Malate. Just be careful if you go for two scoops, since this will take you up to 400mg of total caffeine (very high) -Good pump/vascularity boost from the three ingredients in the "N/O Matrix" but none of the itchy skin or tingly sensation that you sometimes get from Beta Alanine. (Note that I haven't used more than 1.5 scoops at a time, so I have not gotten the 3.2g of B-A that would come with that amount. The tingles may set in with the full two scoops) -Made in USA -Well known and respected sports supplement brand -Price is fairly reasonable ($1.25 per serving at single scoop level) -Flavor was quite good with a noticeable apple taste nicely offset by the subtle blueberry Mixes easily with no clumping or grittiness in just a standard blender bottle Cons: -Includes artificial colors and flavors. There is absolutely no reason or excuse to include artificial colors in a sports supplement product. -Includes Sucralose and Ace-K Good results, good energy/performance ingredients, poor choices on a few ingredients. Overall, this one gets a solid B grade, which equates to four stars in my rating system.

Excellent Pre-Workout
When I buy a pre-workout, I look for some main ingredients, particularly beta-alanine, creatine, and caffeine. These all just give me a mental and physical boost when working out, and they are very helpful. The addition of citrulline and/or arginine is nice, since they both may help increase nitric oxide levels in the body. This formula contains all of these and more. This also contains tyrosine, DMAE, and Lion's mane, which all may help give you a mental lift and motivation. DMAE may free up choline receptors in the brain to take up more acetylcholine, thus increasing focus. I always feel the effect of DMAE. Tyrosine is a precursor of dopamine, and may increase motivation levels. This formula tastes great too, as do all Evogen products. I do wish they would not use sucralose and instead use stevia. That is the only major drawback to this, in my opinion.

Worked But Only After 40 Minutes of My Face Burning Then Most of My Body
Tried one scoop on an empty stomach. Within 15 minutes it felt like I had a stinging, burning feeling all over my face, then I could feel it all over my body. After 30-45 minutes that wore off and I did get an energy boost that lasted a while but was not worth the side effect. I'm not sure what would have triggered this. I have taken 5g Arginine 1g Citrulline for a long time. There's no niacin in this product. It looks like DMAE is the culprit if it is not bitartrate.
