30-Minute Watercolor Painting for Beginners: Easy Step-by-Step Lessons and Techniques

Great resource for learning watercolor techniques for a beginner. Has short follow along lessons that are progressive. Clear, concise directions and photos. Doesn't go into color theory and perspective so if you're looking for a more academic book this isn't it. Love this book and will be purchasing another for my grandchild.

Very helpful book for beginners in water coloring. I would have like it to have supplied actual pages to practice water painting inside it or at least in the back of book. I bought it thinking it would, so I could get started. Feel duped.

This book is an easy and fast read for "absolute" beginners. It briefly introduced the basic materials and tools that are necessary to start watercolor. There is also a general explanation of the color theory, values, brush control and fundamental techniques. All of these are explained in Part One of the book. Most readers will quickly rush through part one and dive straight into Part 2 (which are the practice section). This is a mistake for the "absolute" beginners. - Yes, I did that too!! Start the exercises in Part one, play with your paint to understand the color theory and practice brush control.
