QUALITY product - Perfect balance between firm bristles without being painful
Most storebought brushes I have used that say "FIRM" end up being rather painful to use, and they tend to fail in their goal of taming beard hair. But this one is AWESOME. Seven Potions has a great reputation in the beard product community, but this is my first time buying something of theirs. Just 3 days in, I could tell a difference. Here are the highlights: 1. The bristles, while firm, are pliant enough for me to actually push through the beard properly. 2. The handle is quality wood (not cheap) and is the perfect size for travel if necessary. 3. Does a FAR superior job of spreading oil and butter through the hairs and skin. Beard is noticeably softer and less frizzy the week following the first use. Will definitely purchase from Seven Potions again! ***Note: It looks like they reformulated to use all-natural and vegan-friendly stuff, so their brush has changed to using non-animal bristles. So if you buy through their company website, I assume it will be the updated one and not the boar bristle one that amazon currently carries. So I cannot speak for that one.

I enjoy the craftsmanship and the feel of the bristles
I had a previous brush that was a bit too large but mainly, I felt the bristles were just too soft for my medium beard. I like this brush SO MUCH more. It's a perfect size in my hand, easy to take on my business travels (when the pandemic is behind us!), and most importantly, I love the stiffness of the bristles (not too soft, not too hard). I feel it truly brushes my medium beard when I use it, moves the beard balm around in the morning, and I know I'll be using it for a very long time.

Smaller than expected! Sharp bristles. But good sturdy brush.
I had no specific hopes for brush size at all, and I'm very easy about things like that. But just be aware, this brush is small. Not medium size. Small. And the bristles are extremely coarse. I don't want to say "harsh" because they're supposed to make it through a sizable beard and of course you want the bristles to be strong. But I have to say, they are sharp. It's not a problem though. Just something to know in case you prefer a medium or softer brush, like Rocky Mountain Barber brushes. Brush works fine and seems good quality. A little tricky to hold and use because of the small size, but I'll get used to it. And there's a good amount of space between the bristle so you can see down to the wood, so it should be easy enough to keep clean.

Compact and Effective for Beard Care
This beard brush is nicely compact—easy to carry or store. The stiff bristles do a great job of distributing beard cream and oil evenly through the beard, helping with grooming and keeping it tidy.

Must-Have for Bearded Guys
This beard brush is a game-changer! It helps distribute beard oil evenly, tames unruly hairs, and makes my beard feel soft and smooth. The bristles are firm but gentle, and the handle is comfortable to grip. Highly recommend!

High quality
Definitely well made and high quality material, seems it will last a long time. Got this to help brush my beard and help with the cleanliness of it. It’s sturdy and does a great job, I have had it for a while now and it has held up really well. The bristles haven’t fallen out either. It’s helped smooth out my facial hair and even increase the growth by stimulation. Would definitely recommend this brush if you are looking for a high quality beard brush.

There are a lot of beard brushes out there (some of them I am convinced are repurposed shoe brushes but anyway), but I think this is the best one for the money - and I own several. In my opinion, beard brushes are their most effective when their bristles are incredibly stiff, and this one is about as stiff as it gets. First-cut boar is the way to go. This stiffness allows the bristles to be quite long, which allows this brush to be used on longer beards; a lot of these shoe-brush style beard brushes aren't effective once your beard reaches a certain length. The brush is quite small, but I do not think this is a bad thing. The handle is nice, with no cheap paint or tacky decals. I might even like this brush better than my Zeus first-cut brush, which is about 4 times the price (it's also 4 times the size).

Expensive brush, but probably worth it. Using it for a week. Hopefully will last for a long time. I also was a bit concerned about wood getting moldy if I occasionally rinse it with water, but hopefully the protective oil should prevent this.

Firstly this brush is smaller in hand than whatever expectation I created for myself from looking at the pictures. At first I thought it was going to be a bit dainty - turns out, it’s perfect. “1st cut boar bristles” is marketing speak for “nature’s steel wire”. This little brush could detangle a dreadlocked rat’s nest mess just as easily as it sorts out my patchwork quilt of a beard. Exfoliates, tidies, softens. Does everything it says on the tin. (For the record, that’s a turn of phrase - it comes in a box. I only mention this because a tin would be better). Expensive but better than other products I’ve had in the past from Wahl and Traditional Barbers. I both recommend it and will buy it again. This is a quality product and going for a cheaper alternative and thinking you can just replace it at lower cost is a false economy. This thing looks and feels like it is built to last. I’ll update this review if that turns out to be incorrect. FWIW, I paired this with the Slick “Australian Sandalwood” Beard Balm. It’s a good combo.
