Digital Art Masters: Volume 8 Paperback – July 9, 2013

I always look to the Digital Art Masters series as a form of inspiration and encouragement. As a 3D artist myself, I think it's always good to challenge yourself. So when I look through a DAM book, I know I will always find wonderful art that I can enjoy and appreciate. While simultaneously finding inspiration and ways to push my own skills to a higher level. I highly recommend Volume 8 and all previous volumes of Digital Art Masters. I can always pull one of the volumes off the shelf and find new inspiration and enjoyment, no matter how old (or new) the volume is. Enjoy.

I LOVE IT!

Sorry, I disagree with other reviewers. This does give a general description of each artist's workflow but it is hardly a tutorial and most of the work was done but people I would not consider "masters". A lot of it was derivative and generic. There is no Justin Sweet, Craig Mullens level of work in here. There are some that are really good but not most. And I'm also kinda fed up with the 1990's-esque giant boobs, cinched waists and forward thrust hips thing. I can take things that are campy and pin-up girl here and there is fun, but I am looking for more mature artist's work. I am returning it.

I really love these book, just seeing what is hot and developing within the industry it self is worth the cost. It is also a great way to pick up hints and tricks as well.def comes in handy when coming up with inspiration as well for my personal projects and finding out your own style.
