Very nice barefoot sneakers
I have very wide, short (8 inches heel-to-toe), and tall (instep) feet, so I was looking for a nice pair of white sneakers that would not squish my toes and allow my feet to move a bit more naturally. I ordered size 6, which fits my feet very well. Since buying these, they have become one of my absolute favorite pairs of shoes, because they are just so comfortable! They are excellent shoes for driving, and I usually forget that I'm wearing them because of how comfortable they are. I wear them on most of my walks, and while they probably wouldn't withstand heavy walking without wearing out the insole, the outer sole is holding up pretty well. Even with the insole, I can feel the different surfaces I'm walking on without feeling like I'd get cut if I stepped on something sharp, which is very nice. My toes have room to spread out and move freely (while my pinky toe cannot spread out fully to the side, it is not squished inward towards the other toes). They are obviously not the first choice for fashionable shoes, but they don't look so much like clown shoes that I feel self-conscious wearing them in public. And I really like how many color options there are! I would not be surprised if I ordered another pair of these in another color, or maybe the ones that are made of canvas material to be a bit warmer for colder months (these ones are quite breathable). I haven't cleaned them yet, but I think they'll be pretty easy to clean. The one thing I don't like so much is that the laces are made of a very synthetic material, which holds the shape of how they were tied when they arrived. I think maybe washing and air-drying them would help with that, but I haven't gotten around to that yet, so they still have some kinks and look a little wonky, but that's a minor thing for me. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase, and I think these are a great value for the price!

I feel like a new person with better balance and stability
I’m honestly shocked that a $40 pair of shoes has become the most comfortable in my entire collection! After enjoying a barefoot hike on the beach, I realized the real health benefits of walking barefoot. I wanted to bring that experience into an urban environment, so I decided to try an affordable pair from Amazon—and I couldn’t be happier that I picked these Whitins. The toe box is the widest I’ve ever experienced, yet the shoes don’t look clownish at all. While barefoot shoes typically require a slow transition, these felt so comfortable right out of the box that I immediately stopped wearing my other shoes and started wearing these exclusively. And to put it in perspective, I normally wear brands like Nike, New Balance, Birkenstocks, and Tevas—all known for comfort—but none compare to these Whitins! If you have wider feet (I wear C width), these shoes will change your life! They have the perfect amount of cushioning to let you walk on hard surfaces for hours while supporting your journey to stronger feet and legs, better balance, a lower risk of hip fractures from falls, and fewer foot problems (like bunions and plantar fasciitis). I recently tried on a pair of Vivobarefoot Primal 3 women’s cross-training shoes that cost $120 and couldn’t believe the difference. The Vivobarefoots had a narrower toe box that prevented toe splay, while the Whitins allow my toes to stretch out much more. Walking in Whitins feels like walking barefoot at the beach--comfortable yet will tone those leg muscles up! Since wearing these, I feel like a new person—more balanced, more stable, and more rejuvenated. I am also less afraid of falling and breaking a hip in the future. These shoes aren’t just comfortable; they’re life-changing. Thank you, Whitin! UPDATE: The superlatives do not end. Over the past few months these shoes have allowed my feet to expand and strengthen. My feet are stronger, more muscular, and more stable than they have ever been in any point in my life. I bought a pair of the Lems Primal Zen shoes, which are also extremely comfortable and I have to say the Whitins are just as comfortable at only a fraction of the cost. The only downside is that as your toes expand and your muscles strengthen you might need to buy a bigger pair of these shoes! Don't let the inexpensive price fool you--these are hands down one of the most comfortable barefoot shoes available on the market today!

Cute & super comfy, but possible reaction to label/tag!
Ok so I LOVE these-super comfy all day, cute (yes a bit wide looking, but I have wide feet so I don’t mind!) Sizing was perfect. Bought 10, and I have wide feet and also a high instep, fit is great! But the label/tag under the tongue gave me the worst rash/contact dermatitis! Super sad, I didn’t wear them for a while because I suspected they caused my rash, and yesterday thought I’d try them again, I was still hoping they weren’t the culprit but, last night saw that the rash came back. Put the shoe on and the label/tag under the tongue lines up perfectly with my 2nd round of super itchy red squares. Probably worse for me because I have a high instep and maybe it rubs more? But I have never had a skin reaction before to anything, ever. And this one was still visible after more than 2 months! So I would say give them a try, I don’t see anyone else mention a reaction, but just be aware there might be something on those labels/tags that a few of use have reactions to, especially if you wear no or low-cut socks that don’t come up high enough to cover the tag.

Love em
Sooooo comfortable. These shoes are worth every penny. I have hard to fit feet. These are my IT shoes. Wide toe box, no rubbing anywhere, lightweight, they seem to breathe too. I have the beigey ones with dark soles. Love the dark soles, since I am a clean freak. They won't show scuff marks or dirt so easily. Buy em. I'm going to get another pair in a different color. Love love love.

Love Them!
I've had these a few months now and absolutely adore them. First, they are super comfortable. If I wear them a solid 10-12 hours straight I'm still just as happy as when I first put them on. Sizing is right on, I'm a 9.5 bony feet and they're just right, not too wide or tight. They have relatively good tread but I don't use them as my walking shoes. I have been outside in icy and wet conditions and have never slipped wearing these. They feel like I'm wearing slippers all day. I'm glad I found this brand and I'll absolutely be back buying and trying more! Don't hesitate, you're going to love them!!

Mixed emotions about this item
ok. received these shoes today. for me, i like the soles. they are comfortable and felt good walking. the toe box is great. sort of BIG, but with socks would be alright, i believe. i usually wear a woman's 7.5M or 8M depending on how a shoe is made, and i don't have wide feet. they are narrow. i got these in an 8W because of Amazon's recommendation for sizing and i needed to try something with a wide toe box. these were long enough, but unfamiliarly big across my foot, and wearing them with socks would not fill up the shoe side to side. i went for a walk in them - about a mile. feet got hot and sweaty (no socks on), and wherever that tag on the tongue of the shoe touched my foot it made my skin itch. the more i walked, the more it itched. now for the insole. i really thought it was going to be such complete trash that i wouldn't be able to make it two blocks before my heels would be screaming, but that surprisingly did not happen. this insole has no arch support in it, so when they say 'sock liner' in the description of these shoes, they mean that literally. it's not much to speak of, but it was enough for this walk, although it did make my feet sweat. i cannot decide if i want to keep these shoes. i want something that i don't have to shell out another $20 for an insole to be able to wear, and ones that i can wear without socks and not get sweaty feet. these just might not be the ones for me. good point: i have either a really bad callous or a tailor's bunion on the pinky toe side of my left foot, and that did not hurt AT ALL while i was walking. no part of the shoe was rubbing on it or pressing on it in any way, so that was a good thing. a marvelous thing, actually. also, the shoes come up to my ankle bones and tie snugly enough that they were not slopping around on my feet, so that's a good thing. however, i did feel at times that the front of the shoes were slapping on the ground like clown shoes. i will give them another try, but believe i will be returning them.

Lightweight and cures corns
I had to get wide work shoes, because my pinky toe turns to the side, which was creating a Lister’s corn (so painful). I don’t have wide feet, so I would always get regular shoes. But my pinky toe would always hurt after being on my feet all day. I didn’t realize this wasn’t normal until I broke one of my pinky toes and went to the podiatrist. He suggested wide shoes, so I ordered these for work, and the Lister’s corns went away! I’ll be honest, when I looked down I felt like I had clown shoes on, because I wasn’t used to wide toe shoes, but no one looks at your feet from your perspective and everyone from work said they didn’t look like clown shoes lol. These were a great first wide toe shoe purchase! Very comfortable and lightweight.

Lots of toe space.
Love love love these shoes. Bought a 3rd pair now. For years, to accommodate my wide toes, i was buying a size bigger. I was looking at size 9 shoes in the store but they were so narrow they were squishing my pinky toe still! I found these and am wearing a 7.5 and I have plenty of room for my toes. Im no longer bandaging my pinky toes every day either. I love how small my feet look now compared to wearing a size+ bigger for the toe space. I can walk 15,000 steps a day with no pain. I will get a new insole once this one gets more worn as I think a higher arch will feel better as they are very flat.
