I bought this for our month long trip in Europe to avoid the trouble of rolling wheels on the cobblestone streets. When possible I put the backpack on top of a regular carry on to roll it. The backpack survived the trip and is still good as new. The good: - Size is the max of the carry on, all the space that you can get. - Compartments are good for all the basics. I use he front ziper for easy access to liquids, the laptop compartment is great size and padded and the main space is large to fit all clothes and travel essentials. - The small packing cube is great for underwater and sock. The bag for shoes is great too. - Padded straps and back. - Good looking. The not so good: - It dosen't keep the shape and the compression straps don't help much. I had to figure out a way to accommodate things in a way the the backpack didn't look too bulky on the sides. - The mid and large size packing cubes are too shallow and big so I couldn't use them.

Bought this for a cruise. It was perfect for an extra carry on bag. I've know used it for work trips too. I love that it can be worn as a backpack. It's very comfortable and holds more than you would think. The packing inserts are qreat quality as well. Good quality and well made.

My daughter recommended this style of backpack for a carryon, after using it for a honeymoon trip to Scotland. I have been pleased with the quality and the capacity, the only issue I am finding is that it is WAY too easy to overpack, resulting in a lot of weight to carry around, so that is something to be mindful of. The packing cubes are helpful, however I prefer using compression cubes, but it is nice to have the option of regular cubes. I have used this for several trips, the longest being a week, and am looking forward to using it on a 15 day trip this spring.

Extremely roomy. Packed for a 10 day trip (5 days of clothing, with wash and dry on 5th day, plus toiletries and room left for souvenirs). Even when full, easily carried as backpack with no hassle for multiple miles. Perfect as carry on luggage as it fits numerous sizes of overhead bins (plane, bus and train)

I can't say that I love the gray and brown look, but the bag holds a LOT and allows good organization with the packing cubes. We took these as our carry-ons (Delta) on a flight to San Francisco to catch an Alaskan cruise, and we were able to pack an incredible amount of clothing and toiletries into them. While we checked two bags, we packed enough into these that we would have gotten by for the cruise with just what we managed to fit into these (albeit with a trip to the ship laundromat likely at some point) had our checked bags been lost. For an upcoming 5-day cruise, we'll likely eschew checked baggage altogether and simply use these as carry-one luggage. For the travel we've had so far, there were no issues with the build quality or any workmanship. The straps were padded adequately and easily adjustable across a range of heights (I'm 5'10", my wife is 4'10"), so we weren't too fatigued when carrying them through the airport. While the packing cubes don't say they are washable, my wife did put them through a delicate cycle in the washing machine and let them air dry, and they seemed to come out just fine. Overall, we were really happy with these for our trip, especially since you get more actual storage vs. a wheeled carry-on. (We didn't use the expanders, but we did fill the regular size up as full as possible and then pulled the straps tight. It does seem gate agents do not pay as close attention to backpacks as they do the size of wheeled carry-ons.)
