Amazing phone
Now that I have an S Pen and can use it like I did my Note, I'm in love with this phone and can't believe I waited so long to buy one. The performance is awesome and the screen is superb. Photos look great on the camera. I wish the outer display was wider, but it functions fine and I can use it for most anything. The battery life isn't amazing, but it can get me through a day if I don't go crazy on it. I'd love to see Samsung step up the S Pen game a bit. The other display won't use the pen, and I now have to switch pens when moving between my phone and my Tab S8. I understand that the Pro pen will fix the latter, but it's frustrating that I can't use the pen without opening the phone.

Great phone until
You will love this phone in every way until it breaks. It lasted a little over a year and now it won't operate with it unfolded. If I unfold the phone, the screen displays for half a second and shuts down the phone. Search the internet for fold 4 black screen.

Wifi failed; sent to uBreakiFix that refused to repair local; Samsung required 2-3 weeks to repair
I guess I forgot why I stopped using Samsung products years ago. They don't stand behind their wildly overpriced products and have terrible customer service. I use my phone for work. WiFi stopped working. Samsung tech support attempted to fix it and completely screwed up my settings. Sent me to uBreakiFix locally who refused to work on it because Samsung had tried to solve the problem. Samsung tried to send me back to uBreakiFix. Then, Samsung said I would have to mail it in, and it would take 2 to 3 weeks to repair. I use my phone for work and cannot be without it that long. With the plethora of refurbs on the market, Samsung could swap them. I will not buy a temp phone as all of my contacts, emails would have to be reprogrammed twice. This was an $1,800 phone not a $20 burner. Not to mention, Scamsung apparently has a policy to send customers to various departments to sit on hold until the customer either gives up trying to obtain warranty service or forces an inconvenient resoluation for the customer. After a day of chasing my tail, I decided to trade it in for a OnePlus Open. OnePlus offers same day replacement for about $50. Would have bought their phone when I bought this fold, but they did not have a fold at the time. Now they do. OnePlus is a lot cheaper than Scamsung too. Samsung is blacklisted . . . again. Moreover, remodeling and had planned on purchasing the 77" S95C. Lost a $3,500 sale to LG. Dropped the Samsung kitchen appliances in the remodel for GE Cafe too. That was $15k. Well done Dumbsung.

Excellent double-screen size, good battery
The phone works fantastic good. The front screen is easy to use without requiring flipping open the phone. When opened the larger keyboard, larger screen and multi-app function makes this phone very powerful. The battery life is better than expected and for me easily lasts all day. I don't always open the phone unless I need to type a longer message. I don't play games on it. I don't often watch movies. The crease in the middle of the phone is visible but is not distracting or bothersome. The pixels are smooth and my eyes quickly adjust. The fingerprint reader feels weak especially when there is a case as it is difficult to get my finger on the right angle and position. The facial recognition is less reliable for me. Yes, a little chunky but the height and width easily fit comfortably in my pocket. The cameras work well enough for my use. Overall very satisfied with the phone and performance.

Lots to say - one of a kind device
Personally I switched to this from iPhone, unsure what I would think. I will leave out the differences between the two but I'm getting used to it again from the last time I had an Android in 2019. The phone itself is pretty cool. There's some bloatware from Samsung on it and they really push the Bixby thing. So much so that if you prefer the Google assistant you need to use routines+ (a Samsung app from the galaxy store) to custom build a shortcut to get the key to do anything else. They actually prevent you from using Google in the android settings. I took one star off for the bloatware and most of the Samsung apps are not that great. In fact I would have had a better first impression if it didn't have some of that garbage installed but I understand some people might like some of that stuff... The front screen is more narrow than most smartphones so if you came from a larger phone, this is going to take some getting used to. Its about as wide as an iphone 6. Previous iterations of this phone were even more narrow but I only find myself opening it to the large screen when I want to instead of feeling like I'm not getting the full app experience from the front screen. Look on Reddit and you will find this upset a lot of earlier fold customers. I do not find that to be a problem on the fold 4 but I will say Instagram cuts off reels on the sides unless you open it. There are ways to force a certain aspect ratio so I have hopes this can go away. I would say about 80 to 90% of the time I am texting people from the front screen and I feel comfortable doing it. The rest of the time the phone was just already open and I was doing something else but wanted to text back.. It goes without saying that it's a great convenience to have the large screen. The multitasking is second only to a tablet. It's a really nice prospect to go on camping trips or vacations and not have to worry about bringing an extra device with me just in case I have to get some work done. I can see how people would still prefer to have a larger tablet but I'm not one of those people and I feel like the fold 4 takes care of that need for me. The flex mode is pretty cool but lots of applications either don't support it or it's really weird. Flex mode is when You fold the phone partially opened like a laptop opened on a table and it will only display the app on one half of the screen, the default with chrome is you get this cool touchpad thing which could be useful in some situations but I don't find myself using it very often. The camera is great but in low light the phone produces blurry shots of anything that moves. Even my iphone 11 did a better job of this. I've experimented with and without night mode and I think the post image processing just isn't up to par with Apple's. The pro mode is really cool and you can do long exposures, night photography, and you can control things like shutterspeed and f-stop. These new phones all have larger sensors and the quality shows, minus the low light performance (which in my opinion could be improved with software). Overall I really like the phone but it definitely isn't for everybody. It's really thick and you are probably going to put some kind of case on it which will make it even thicker. A couple companies make some ultra thin cases but I don't think they are out yet at the time of this writing. Durability is definitely a concern but so far so good and I haven't noticed any quality control issues on my phone yet. you can still add Samsung's insurance plan after purchasing if you are worried about dropping it and breaking it. Really cool phone. I think anybody that had an LG phone with a full keyboard on it in the late 2000s was called to this phone, it's spiritual successor...

I have had a bad experience buying this product, the main screen stopped working in less than a month of using it and I am still trying to figure out how to proceed with a replacement which is not so straight forward.
