Awesome, with some quirks
We purchased this machine to avoid purchasing either another Keurig or a Nespresso machine. It has not disappointed, and we in fact love it. Pros: - It is fairly simple to use - It eliminates the waste found with a Keurig or Nespresso. All you buy is whole beans for the grinder and ground for the bypass - The bypass opening allows us to make decaf versions of our drinks in the evening (I use Peet’s which is decaffeinated using the water process) - It makes an excellent espresso. I was able to dial in the grind pretty quickly and we have not touched it in 3 months. Because it makes an excellent espresso it also makes an excellent cafe Americano. - My wife likes frothy milk drinks. We got the version with the manual frother which I recommend. It is much easier to clean (and hot milk leaves a residue) and it is very easy to use compared to the versions with the automatic milk frother. - I love the sounds it makes. As an engineer I appreciate all the whirs and clicks and such. Cons: - Our machine leaks a little water internally such that the drip pan fills with water even when nothing visible has gone into it. The good news is that it is all in the drip pan and not on the counter - While it has a low water indicator, it is set too low and will start making a cup and then halt in the middle when it runs out of water. You either toss what you made or get a half of what you wanted. To resolve this I try and remember to look at the right side of the machine at the water level before I start (it is clear and easily visible) - Same issue with beans as water, it can run out of beans in the middle of a cycle, so I check - Some folks complain about the water it purges when turning it on & off, I did not find this annoying. We just keep an empty coffee cup under the spout when we turn it on/off. - I have not been able to dial in the ‘coffee’ option, it is a little too bitter for me. But this is not really much of an issue, the cafe Americano is excellent and I get more volume of coffee than the coffee setting. So while the machine is not perfect, it makes an awesome espresso, cappuccino, and cafe Americano - what we bought it for. It has proven simple to use and to clean. We love it.

Delicious 😋
I owned a De'Longhi Magnifica about 20 years ago, and it lasted a good 10 years. This newer model of Magnifica, (Evo) is nothing short of perfection. Ok, on to the functions....being German myself, I use a German brand of coffee beans, and since I prefer my coffee strong, I always use Espresso beans. The unit itself is a bit noisy, but thats to be expected, given that it has to grind the beans, heat and filter the water and extract all into a cup once all the grinding and mixing is complete. The coffee can't be more fresh than with freshly ground beans right then and there. I like the new features of selecting the type of drink you're making....as well as doubling up on the quantity by a simple press of the "X2" button. My old machine had none of that. You can select between many different types of beverages....Espresso, Coffee, Long, Americano or Over Ice. Steam for Cappuccino can be used for milk as well as frothing up your coffee, for those whom prefer a more crema coffee. Overall, I am VERY pleased with this unit, and it's worth every penny. The water capacity is also great, and I suggest, to those new to this unit, to clean it daily, if used daily. This prevents any water slime, coffee ground disk rot, and keeps the unit running like a champ. You can also use already ground coffee, if you prefer, but as a matter of preference, I use whole beans, for added freshness. I posted images of the ground coffee beans disks ejected into container within machine after brewing is complete, to share with you what I do with those disc's after I clean the tray holding these disks. In winter, I collect them in a zip lock bag, and place them into the freezer, to use in spring and summer for my plants, bushes and trees. Those work wonders for your plants. I have nothing negative to say about this unit, it's SUPERB !!

Not worth the money, To many flaws, but great tasting coffee!
A few things, 1 my other one I have At work came with a filter, this one did not. I tried Calling and didn’t get anywhere. There is no one to talk to. I tried emailing and no reply’s. 2 the Americano button you have to press twice if you want a full cup of coffee like the button shows. 3 The flaw is the 2x button should be for all the selections just not the espresso 4 the water container depending on how many coffees you want, goes quickly 5 to descale it takes hours so planning sticking around 6 sludge happens to build up in the catcher pain to clean out messy The positives Coffee comes out great prob one of the best cups of coffee!. But is it worth the pricy price tag no!

Good Stuff
Good stuff. Makes delicious espresso/coffee drinks by pressing a few buttons. Requires regular preventative maintenance/filling and emptying water, coffee bean, and spent grounds containers.

Makes pretty good espresso, good value for lower cost super auto
Well the first unit had to be returned it bricked during initial setup(water pump didn't work I think) Ordered another one which has been good so far. Its fairly easy to use and espresso quality is pretty good. For the price point I think its a pretty good unit, better tasting product then the Phillips. The unit isn't to huge, and looks ok, though it is all plastic, metal and touch screen would be nice but of course that would raise the price by a few hundred making not as great of value. Cleaning is pretty easy. I prefer the manual frother vs the built in dispenser I think it does a better job and less stuff to clean. They do skimp on including a filter you have to purchase separate. I dinged a star off rating because the first unit was DOA. If you don't want to spend money on something like a Jura this is a good entry into the superauto world.

Good!
So far I’m impressed with this coffee machine. Makes great coffee! I had to mess around with the grind control size somewhat but it’s working nicely.

Best coffee machine ever
1 year review. I bought this on sale for $500 1year 2month ago, being tired of paying $150 a month for Nespresso pods. This machine makes the best coffee ever, better than Nespresso for fraction of the monthly cost, without having to deal with the pods. This machine, as expensive as it is, paid for it self in less than 5 months coming from Nespresso. This machine is working the way it was new, a year and 2 months ago. With that being said, it does sometimes not turn on, and I have to unplug, plug back in to reset it. Also the frother/steamer, it might be that I suck at it but I cant get it to function well. If that is an important aspect of a coffee machine, you should definitely do some research on this before you spend premium price for this machine. Overall, I gladly this 5 stars as its by far the best coffee machine that I have ever owned, and because its still providing me with the best coffee ever every morning without failure.

lasted a few months; customer service is non-existent. $700 brick
I owned the first generation Magnifica espresso maker. It lasted me over 15 years. When my Terra Kaffe died (10 days out of warranty) I decided to replace it with another Magnifica based on my fondness for the machine that served me so well. Amazon was the seller not a third party. Out of the box the Magnifica Evo worked great; easy set-up and simple features. After three months the grinder started making a weird noise and then stopped grinding. It would turn, but not grind and made a sound that was obviously not right. All signs pointed to a stone or other obstruction in the grinder. I followed the instructions to remove whatever was causing the grinder to not work but it turns out there are broken pieces of the grinder itself causing the obstruction! Contacting Delonghi customer service is a joke. The website does list replacement parts including something labeled "Grinder Assembly" which sounds like what I need but there's no description or picture to confirm it on Delonghi's official site. Moreover the part is out of stock anyway with an estimated shipping date more than a month away.
