Great pocket pencil. Use it all the time. Well made, appreciate the pocket clip (a real differentiator).

It’s great robust shell and simple design. Eraser is beefy enough that it works well on little notes. I have the original pencil, but much like the other reviewers stated the staedler and Ticonderoga pencils can be cut down and fit. The direct refill fits great the others fit slightly loose. I found that cutting a small piece of plastic straw that extends out is the perfect spacer for a tight fit for non manufacturer refills. If the wiggle does not bug you the others work great. The extension with the barrel makes it great for bigger hand and without the barrel the pencil is perfect for little hands.

Writes well, though I use a blackwing sharpener. Patinas beautifully and matches my other brass accessories.

very pleased. was looking for a protected pencil for travel sketching. does everything a pencil is supposed to do. the eraser is big & functional. the brass “casing” will patina nicely…surprisingly it doesn’t feel terribly unbalanced when in use

I bought this because it reminds me of the pencils that were given out to ppl at the farm shows years ago when I was growing up. It brings back memories of going to FarmFest in MN.

I love this pencil. I only use pencil in my travelers passport notebook that way I can erase appts easily and this fits right into my pen slot. It’s very smooth lead, and the eraser does a great job! Would highly recommend!

I love this pencil. It's just cool. If you are into writing instruments the way I am, you will probably love it too. It feels high quality. Nice big eraser. Cool looking brass.

Excellent quality, made in Japan! Gave it as a gift to my husband and he really likes it! He appreciates that the cap protects the pencil point, feels comfortable and sturdy in his hand when writing and has a convenient clip so he can clip it into his pocket.

クロスワードパズルだと消しゴムがどうしても欲しいことがあって、ポケットの中にちびた消しゴムを入れておくか、ゴム付き鉛筆の小さくなったのを延長軸に挟んで使っていたのだが、こんなもの日本で作って売ってるんだ、とおもって随分昔に購入した。合衆国のお土産にカラフルなものをもらったことがあるが、それと変わらない。 昔はクリップの部分がチャチで壊れてしまったが、写真を見たらどうやら最新のモデルではクリップがねじ止めになっているようだ、こりゃあいいや。と思った。景品で配ったりしているもののはずなんだがこういう形になるとバカ高いのはご愛嬌なのかも。 ゴムの部分は別に買えるらしいが、多分偉く高いんだろうね。普通のゴムを切って突っ込んでおいてもいいかなと思う。鉛筆部分は専用品を購入したことはない。2Bくらいの鉛筆の短くなったのを押し込んで使っている。高級な鉛筆だと塗装が厚いんだろう、キツキツになるので、少し紙やすりで角を落としてやるといい塩梅に収まってくれる。 キャップというか本体を鉛筆の尻に挿しても使えるようになっているが、長くて尻が重くて邪魔。キャップ部分はパズルブックなりに挟んでおいて、鉛筆だけもって使っている。電車のなかで通勤時に使うだけなので掌に収まるサイズでいい。要するに、大量に文字を書く道具ではなく、メモ書き程度に重宝する携帯用筆記具。そして壊れるところがないので安心して長く使える。その辺が身上の商品。 もちろんペグシルでもいいんだけど、それだったらGOLFPencilとしてアメリカでもポピュラーは、短いゴム付き鉛筆の方が携帯性が高い。ただ、電車の中でパズルに興じるには、柔らかい芯のものが欲しく、この商品は好きな鉛筆に変えられるのが助かっている。 でも、元々はブリキの大量生産品だったんだが、こんなに高いものか？？

I've bought two of these so far. Classy feel, cool look, very nice craftsmanship. Only issue is the eraser occasionally pops out, so I glued it in.

初代からマイナーチェンジしてたんですね。 消ゴムと反対側を引っこ抜いて、ひっくり返して差し込むと、筆記できるようになります。 が、ひっくり返す部分は普通の鉛筆なので、軽いです。 筆記状態にすると、異常なほど重心が高くなるので、お世辞にも書きやすくはないです。 極端なことを言うと、このペンは書いて楽しむものじゃないと思います。 真鍮の感触や、経年変化、酸化皮膜ができたときのアンティークな雰囲気などを、楽しむものなんじゃないですかね。
