This is a really fun set at a good price. It’s not hobby-grade quality, but has enough extra features and at a good price to warrant a 5 star review. The overall quality and feel of the track, controllers, and cars I would call “toy-grade”. Very good toy-grade, but not on-par with the old sets from the good old 80’s. The track itself is lightweight and comes apart fairly easily. You can still drive for a few minutes without have to squeeze some track pieces back together, but it comes apart enough to be annoying. I recommend putting it on a rubbery surface to help with track stability. The full track slid around a bit on the table shown in my video - once I put it on some rubber flooring it was stable and held together a bit better. This set does have some really great features! You can control the maximum throttle with a plastic hand-screw at the bottom of the controller. Very helpful with my children so the cars aren’t perpetually flying off the track. Also, the cars aren’t magnetized which greatly helps with their track stability. It has little jumps, loops, and a turbo button (the cars will immediately fly off the track with turbo unless they are on a straight away). There you have it - not nice enough where you want to hide it away and only gingerly play with it all by yourself late at night after the kids have gone to bed. But it IS a very fun toy to share with your family and friends. For that reason it gets 5 stars from me.

This went together well, and the grandkids really enjoyed it. The controllers are adjustable so you can slow the cars down… Otherwise they shoot off the end of the track. I think finding replacement parts for the cars is going to be very difficult. I see that you can buy additional cars but they are way too expensive. I might as well buy a whole new set. The brushes and pin to keep the car on the track break often. You need a dozen spares and I can't see where to buy them. The grandkids raced all Thanksgiving weekend. One issue is that you can just push the controller to full throttle... and with the magnets on the cars, they stay on the track.. so it takes little to no skill. I really liked my Aurora HO set I had when I was a kid... MUCH better throttle control, and ability to buy the parts I needed locally.

I bought this and another track so I could build a super track for my sons birthday. We were able to build it fast and having fun in no time. The quality of this track is a 10 out of 10! The stability of the loops make for awesome performance of the super fast cars.

The set up took one hour. Once you set the speed correctly, the cars stay on the track and loop the loops just fine! My 5 year old loves it.

It's ok but the cars don't stay on well and the track eases apart when you use it. I wanted to send it back

Bought this for the grandkids for when they come stay, but couldn't resist having a go. Just put together a very basic setup as couldn't be bothered with bridges etc., just to check it out. For the money it's brilliant. Everything there, including a Brit 13A plug and works exactly as it should. Only slight issue one car seems to be slower than the other two, but that could be that it needs bedding in? Simple enough to put together, although does need to be by an adult in my opinion. Hand controllers do control the speed and the speed restrictor function works well...on minimum setting can send cars around without them coming off at corners...for younger kids this will be essential I think (they still come off at the track change and track neck bits when they meet though, so some extra excitement there!). Loop works fine. Counters work fine (though only 0-9) I wouldn't say it was the most robust construction, but what do you expect for £65 for this length of track, however, if not mistreated I suspect it will last. It does come with two sets of replacement brushes, but they are available from the US (via Amazon UK) so I took the precaution of buying these. Extra cars also available at £18 each. All in all very impressed with first look and can't wait for kids to come to set it up properly...they (we) are going to love it!! PS: further investigation on slower car turned out to be rear tyre rubbing on wheel arch. Took a file to it and now fine. Cars now within 1 sec of each other over 9 laps the above track (20secs) although the police car a good 4 secs quicker, so don't know what that's all about, other than police need to be able to catch the baddies I suppose!

Pretty fun for what you pay. My kit came with 3 cars. 1 worked awesome , 1 car was obviously slower, and the 3rd car didnt work at all. But the two that did work made it worth it

My 8 year old son really enjoyed this track. It works great and set up was super simple with lots of variations to keep it interesting!
