Norpro 1229 Silicone Oven Rack Push/Pull

Does what it needs to do, as it is a very straight-forward tool. It comes with suggestions on how it can be used (pulling/pushing oven racks and trays). I waited until the price dropped a bit before purchasing it so I feel like the value for money is alright. Durability-wise, it's rigid and silicone-coated so it should stand up well with proper care. Doesn't really need cleaning but given what it's made of if need be should be a breeze to wash (I washed it once, when I first got it). It's an appropriate size/length for my use (pulling rack out to check doneness of bakes, etc) I wanted to be able to hang it so I knitted an i-cord out of a similarly coloured cotton yarn. It now hangs from a cupboard know above the stove.

Did t think I would ever need anything Like this but stumbled across some article (wirecutter?) that recommended it. Inexpensive and it works exactly as described. No more potholders and risking burning my hands.

Ok, so a little goofy looking but very well designed and great quality. When you need to pull out a hot oven rack or toaster rack just hook the rack with this sturdy silicone, heat resistant gadget and pull it out. It can also be used to push the rack back in. We use it daily and are happy to have it. I would recommend giving it a try.

I own one and bought one for my daughter. A real lifesaver for small burns that can really hurt. Easily get oven racks and pans to the safest place... to center in the oven, remove from the oven, or insert into the oven. Very helpful hanging or storing right next to the oven.

Being silicone, which could be too flexible for this usage, I was sceptical of its ability to push and pull. I'm glad I gave this a chance. It's very sturdy, the openings are shaped and positioned very thoughtfully, and it's great for pulling and pushing the racks as well as shallow and deep pans in the oven. I have a range with two ovens and the top one is not tall; this doesnt have any trouble with that or with the full size oven. I may buy a second one so that I can go two handed and disperse the force, as I found myself switching back and forth from one side to the other to evenly pull out the rack and pans, but I may just need a bit more practice, and regardless this tool is not at fault. I'm really happy with this purchase.

I bought this item more than 4 years ago and we use it almost daily when removing hot items from our toaster oven, like toast, hot baked foods, and mini pizzas. It is one of the most underrated but most appreciated items I have purchased for our daily kitchen use. For years, I've been meaning to write a positive review of this item and I've finally sat down to do it while I'm eating an English muffin I just removed from my toaster oven using this utensil. The item looks as new as the day it arrived 4 years ago. My wife and I use it almost daily and it has shown absolutely no wear! Buy with confidence. For just a few dollars, it's a bargain and it's actually useful!
