DEWALT DPG59 Reinforcer Rx-Bifocal High Performance Protective Eyeware with Rubber Temples and Protective Eyeglass Sleeve - Clear Lens, 1.0 Diopter

I have purchased several pair of these for work. They are lightweight, comfortable and the optics are good. The bi-focal lens is in the lower 1/3 and is approximately 1" across. To use the small bifocal lens, you may have to move your work into the bifocal field or move your head. This is not a problem for me but may annoy some people. Overall the quality is good and the lenses resist scratches from normal lens cleaning. The last pair I wore 50+ hours a week for 3-4 months before I scratched them. A solid value if you need bifocal safety glasses. Picture is accurate.

I work in the medical field, and require safety glasses for working in operating rooms. I manipulate small objects as part of my work. Since I'm aging fast, I'm having more trouble up close, especially with small objects. On a whim, I searched amazon for "safety glasses with readers" and got multiple results. I ordered up these glasses, with the +1 readers. I've been very happy with them. They are well made and fit right. I notice no distortion. The reader lenses built in are very helpful. I was concerned that I'd have trouble going between the standard part and the readers, but this wasn't the case. Ina short, these are exactly what I needed. I should note that you can get similar glasses a little cheaper without the DeWalt logo...but, given my love of power tools, I had to go with these and refuse to down rate them for that...so there. When I need more powerful readers, I'll order up another one of these with more powerful reader lenses.

The first pair that i ordered was already scratched out of the box. Amazon replaced it very soon. The second pair was more scratched out of the box. Since I needed it for my woodworking class very badly, I kept the first one, but returned the second pair. The glasses work fine, it is the packaging that scratches the lenses during delivery. Dewalt should consider using some types of protective plastic covering on the lenses during packaging. Other than that they work fine. Sometimes, I don't realize I have them on. They are light weight and very comfortable to use. It would receive 5 stars if it was not for the scratches.

I bought these for woodworking so that I could see up close (I'm 56). These are bifocal style meaning most of the surface area is clear, but near the bottom they have correction for up close vision. If you wear +2.00 reading glasses, you might consider backing off to about +1.50 since your shop work may not be as close to your face as a book, just a thought. I wore these to cut some wood with a chainsaw outdoors and they are fine for that as well. If you want maximum protection, buy goggles, but for the glasses style safety eyewear these are great. It comes with a cloth sleeve and I have no idea what its for. It's about an inch in diameter and you'd have to break the glasses to squeeze them into the thing. Maybe I'm overlooking something.

These safety glasses are lightweight and comfortable enough to wear all day. Unfortunately, the lenses are very soft. Every little thing scratches them. I've only had them a week, and they'll need to be replaced very soon.

It's amazing how much better these inexpensive safety glasses are when compared to the semi disposable $5 models at home improvement stores. They are comfortable, light weight and most importantly, they rarely fog up, if at all. They also don't seem to attract wood dust like cheaper models do. The magnifying portion of the lenses helps me make accurate measurements as well.

I do heavy industrial welding. As I get closer to 45 years of age, my arms have gotten shorter and shorter. Needless to say, I have been using reader glasses for the last two years. Did not know these existed until a few weeks ago. So I got a pair. First - it takes a moment to get used to the "bifocal" effect with these. But once you do they are amazing. Sadly, I may have to go up to the 1.5 here soon. They fit very well to the face and my face is harder to fit to than some. All day comfort - check. I can wear these under my 3M Speedglass (yea, the 2,500 dollar welding hood) all day long. 10 hours of welding and they are up to the task. I can read the blueprints, watch my weld puddle, and keep things lined up within 1/16th of an inch. These WILL be a part of MY EDC.

As an old guy working on a home renovation, I really REALLY needed these! Just enough magnification to work at lap distance or closer, without messing up my distance vision. My only complain is, I wish the bifocal part was larger and higher on the lens, I have to look straight down to use them. As for the rest of the glasses, they're comfortable, and the shape provides very good coverage and protection.

Bought these as I need minor reading help and glasses supplied by employer are terribly big. These safety glasses are light, neat, and bifocal allows to walk without having distorsion like what you can experience with other progressive lenses. With these, you get the reading help when you look down while you get regular safety glasses looking straight.

My glasses are not always enough protection in the shop. So these are a very handy option. 1x magnification means I can read precision measuring instruments no problem. My eye glass prescription isn't very strong, so you may want more magnification. Takes some getting used to, but after an hour or two I don't even notice. Great deal until I get prescription safety glasses.

Fit and finish are great. Perfect position for bi-focal. I will order more soon for all my work stations, just expensive.
