I was a bit hesitant to order this based on other 1-star reviews here, especially the ones mentioning how finicky and inconsistent the fingerprint reader is. And for the first few minutes I was trying to set it up, I had the exact same frustrating issues others have mentioned, and I couldn't get fingerprints to register or read consistently. ...until, that is, I noticed the little strip of protective plastic covering the fingerprint reader. I have to gives kudos to the factory for their precision work here, because the plastic was fit SO precisely to the reader that it was absolutely invisible until I really started investigating. Once that strip came off, it was a whole new game and I've had absolutely no issues with it since. Of course, I don't know for sure that this is behind the problems others have had with the fingerprint reader (and of course makes no difference to the OTHER problems people have encountered), but I will say it fixed my woes. Otherwise, very satisfied: it's beefy, spacious, the pull-out drawer insert is a nice touch, and I didn't have any issues setting it up once I got it working right. Your mileage may vary!

Great safe with all the entry options you could want. You have can multiple users. The locks can be completely disabled for extra security. The internal space is good and gets better with additional trays. It's solid and heavy. Permanent installation can be intimidating. The fingerprint can be frustrating if you're not consistent with your finger placement.

This is the most annoying POS I have ever had the displeasure of trying to use. There is no way to open this unpowered and all it does is drain batteries. Every single time I need something important it’s trapped in this absolute waste of material and makes me go insane. I swear it knows when I have a time-sensitive need and decides my fingerprints are fake and no code works. Just get a regular safe or one that also unlocks without power.

At first glance, this safe looks and feels like a quality product — heavy, sturdy, and seemingly well-built. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. When it arrived, the safe was impossible to open. The door was somehow stuck to the interior wall of the safe, almost like it was vacuum-sealed shut. No amount of pulling, tapping, or wiggling made a difference. In the end, I had to grab a pry bar just to get the door open — which completely defeats the purpose of owning a “secure” safe in the first place. After finally freeing it, I figured the issue was a one-time thing. But when I closed the door and tried to reopen it, it was stuck again. It’s frustrating because the safe’s materials and construction appear first-rate, but if you can’t actually open it without tools, it’s basically a useless metal box. Two stars for the build quality, but serious design or quality-control issues make it a poor buy.

Very nice safe. It's just the right size for my handguns, enough ammo, and storage drawer for personal important documents. I did need to buy two extra drawers for organization as it only came with one. The fingerprint recognition is a little sketchy as i sometimes need to reprogram it. The push button code never fails. Overall I'm very satisfied with it for my living space. I still keep all my long guns and bulk ammo in my larger safe.

Unfortunatly, the biometric finger print SentrySafe I ordered did not have that functionality, but only the keypad entry. It looks like it might be an screwup at the factory so I only can review the other features which seem to work fine. Easy instructions to get into the safe.
