I use this in my classroom when the students are completing assessments, as it means that I don't disturb the whole class by telling them how much time is left...those that wish to know, look at the timer, those that don't are able to just carry on working, undisturbed!

It is advertised as silent, it's not - the ticking is very loud. I really regret this purchase.

So quick and easy. Much better than wind up. Sound is a little quiet for noisy rooms but easy to hear otherwise. I use it for lots of uses as it accurate and fast and easily visible to set the countdown.
