Great book for career insight
Really great book designed to give you perspective on your career outlook and choices. It helped me narrow down that I want out of a job, how to identify my strengths and weaknesses, and ways to interview and network. It comes with a ton of resources as well. It’s concise and I worked through it in about a month and a half. Highly recommend.

Good as original
I bought the latest copy of this book but it really hasn’t changed from the one I had 20 years ago. It just looks nicer. I still think it is thought provoking. If you have an older copy I wouldn’t recommend buying a new one unless you just want a clean copy to work with again.

Great book!! Definitely recommend
"What Color Is Your Parachute?" is an invaluable resource for anyone seeking career guidance. Richard N. Bolles' classic book offers practical, actionable advice for job seekers and career changers. I found the self-assessment exercises particularly enlightening, helping me identify my skills, values, and ideal work environment. The book's up-to-date strategies for networking and job hunting in the digital age were also extremely useful. Bolles' encouraging tone made the daunting task of career planning feel manageable and even exciting. This book helped me discover what a fulfilling career path looks like.

not for older people looking to develop their mission
This is a great book for younger job seekers, who are unsure about their mission in life. For those retired from full time work but looking for something new to create, only one chapter is useful.

It’s a great book
I finished it and I loved it.I haven’t get any job or anything yet, but, definitely, it changed how I see the job market. Thanks to the book and the flower exercise, I really know what I want and I learned a lot about myself.Next time, I know that besides looking for money, I will be looking for a lot of stuff as well (nice people, duties that match my unique interests, the location I want, etc)Get it, it takes a little bit of time and work to finish it. But I believe every single person should read it, before getting any job.

OUTSTANDING BOOK
Wow so so much invaluable information! It is up to date and shatters the way most people do a job search. The book guides you in discovering your strengths and likes/preferences. Lots of valuable practical suggestions. But I have to warn you, be ready to spend several hours on the suggested study guides. It will take you some time and much reflection to complete the book and its recommendations but... GUARANTEED you will be much more prepared and enlightened about your job search. HIGHLY RECOMEND it

Still good for figuring out your goals
I read this 40 years ago and it helped me realize what types of activities could make work less “work” and more fulfilling. Bought this new version for my 25 yr old son who is still trying to find his path.

This book helped me years ago, and I've gifted it to two people
This book was so helpful for me in my twenties. I've gifted it to two people in their twenties who are trying to figure out life and career. I have high hopes that if they give the book a chance, they will have great inspiration.
