Woodburning Realistic People: Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Perfect Portraits of People (Fox Chapel Publishing) Learn How to Turn a Photo of a Loved One into a Beautiful Pyrography Pattern Review: Amazingly good book, packed with fine information, very quick service, great experience! - What a delightful surprise! I thought the book would provide clear instructions as how to "burn" realistic-looking people BUT this book by Jo Schwartz goes WAY beyond what I expected --its essentially a complete course lucid, incremental, and very, very easy to follow (and to subsequently practice on scrap wood) how to take a photograph and turn it into a gorgeous piece of well "burned" art. Furthermore, Ms. Schwartz is very clear about what kind of equipment and supplies to buy, and gives ample instructions on how to proceed from start to finish. This book is definitely a "keeper", well worth its price, and one that can readily service beginners and experienced artists alike. GREAT PRODUCT. Review: Good book - This is a good book for beginning carvers with a lot of solid information. I liked that it goes through how to alter pictures and make them ready for transfer. It discusses multiple computer programs so it covers almost anyone with a computer including free programs (GIMP) available on line. I learned a lot from it and keep it available as a reference source.

Great Book!
I cannot do much with it because I lack artistic talent, but if you have any, you will be very glad you bought it!
