Now, I’m an owner of a varied collection of knives. I don’t buy junk knives & appreciate quality. This is small & compact knife. It’s very sharp. This Swedish-made knife (actually in Seki, Japan) measures 7.12 inches in overall length, with a 3.14-inch drop-point, plain-edge blade of Elmax steel with a satin finish, and a convex grind (think of axe edge). If you have large hands, knife might be a bit small for you. This is a very solid knife, well worth the cost. Before I purchased the Scout, I spent time looking at the F1 & I will in the future will purchase one, just gotta decide what version. Recommend seller.

100% genuine. Unbelievably sharp, though always strop a new knife. Great in hand even with bigger hands, not buying a f1 for like $100 more. Great edc knife.

Love the look, feel, razor sharpness and overall quality of this little knife. I'll be honest, even after reading the dimensions I thought it would be a larger knife and wasn't sure I had room in my kit for a fixie this small but after a few days it falls into the EDC category even though I've got plenty of folders. Also read a lot of negative reviews about the sheath and how it should have been leather or of higher quality (given the price of the knife) or easier for a one-handed draw blah blah blah. After using it for several days my opinion is it's ridiculously secure, easily accessed one-handed and it looks cool. You can totally spend your money on aftermarket or a custom sheath, but you don't have to. I'm glad I decided to keep it.

I've been wanting to get a Fallkniven for almost two years now but never pulled the trigger. I've bought Benchmades, Ka Bars, Mora Gerbergs and so on. This is by far the nicest knife I own. It is very robust. Sporting Elmax powdered steel the price its at now is a value. I'm overall happy with the purchase. It's extremely sharp. And the balance is perfect.

I got an R2 and a VG10 F1, to compare them. I liked the R2 a lot better. The handle fit my hands better(glove size 10.5-11). The scandi-vex grind cuts better than the F1. The sheath is more secure and convenient. The size is better suited to my lifestyle and how I use knives. The F1 is still a really nice knife, just didn't suit me as well as the R2 Scout.
