Micro sd Card Reader USB C, ICZI OTG Adapter USB C to USB 3.0 TF Memory Card Reader for Samsung S9/S8, New MacBook, ChromeBook Pixel, Nexus 5X/6P and More- Aluminum

I've had two of these now, both with the same problem: they lose their connection every 5-15 seconds. The problem occurs with both USB-3 and USB-C connections and two different PC's with U1 and U3 Samsung 64 GB micro SD cards and with a U3 Samsung micro SD card.Also, the USB-3 connector is a very tight fit, so tight that I was afraid it would break the connector on the PC.The seller was very accommodating in trying to fix the problem and sent me a promo code that let me buy a second one for $0.11, but it had the same problem.Maybe this works well with some phones, but certainly not with my Win 10 PC's.

While small and convenient, these adapters overheat something awful and have frequent disconnects. Especially when overheating. I purchased two of these. I have a 64gb Kingston and a 128gb Sandisk. Both adapters experience the same issues, with the same cards. If I need it for a quick file or two, they work wonderfully. Need to transfer a lot of data? Forget about it. It took me 4 hours to offload two 64gb cards to a computer. I had to stand there and click retry during the 4 hours, as the adapters continued to disconnect and reconnect to the computer. If they got too hot, I switched adapters and continued my transfers. A few files failed to read during this time. I will be looking into something else. I cannot trust these.

This device has great design and works fine with USB C on MacBook 12 and those that have older USB A ports. However there are two problems:1) Read/Write speed is about 2/3 of what the card is capable of (I used SanDisk card and reader for comparison).2) This device does not work with MacBook Pro 2017. It simply does not recognize it. (*)*) They actually sent me a replacement, which works with MacBook Pro 2017. However there is still a problem - when I connect it to my MacBook Pro 2017, the device gets very hot even when I do not use it.

The nice thing about this is that it's small and looks nice and when it works it works well. But the main problem that everyone points out is that it will have frequent disconnects which seems to be due to over heating. So at first you will be able to transfer a couple gigs of data but after a while it will over heat and the more you continue to use it the more it will disconnect causeing major data loss and file corruption.

Totally LOVE this OTG adapter! The strong materials and simple design make me feel confident that it will continue working most likely even years from now and after countless uses. Needless to say the cap and thin chain will get lost very quickly, however that's not much of an issue as the solid metal piece will remain in good condition no matter how you abuse it. Just make sure to keep the lint from the ports and you will be fine!

Read write speed seemed "fine" granted I did no formal speed tests.It actually worked better on my phone than my PC.Whenever I plug it in to my PC, the card will constantly disconnect and reconnect, it interrupted my data transfers several times while trying to dump my card. Eventually I just borrowed a coworker's card reader.

Gets dangerously hot and won't connect to pc. Continuously connects and disconnects. It was even difficult to eject the drive because it kept cycling. Very poor product!

This is a great device... Love it and it's ideal for pendrivelinux.com distro'sHOWEVER, SD's are lose. I lost my 128gb :-(Be sure and put scotch tape to keep it tight.

lo compre para pasar datos a mi teléfono y aunque no incluye memoria y es solo el adaptador creo que vale cada peso pues me ha hecho la transferencia de datos muy eficiente, además de que tiene un diseño muy elegante y seguro.
