She is an experienced teacher of MYP and DP Mathematics and Sciences, and is Head of Mathematics in her current school. She is also the author of MYP by Concept 4&5 Mathematics . Irina Amlin has been an MYP Mathematics educator and department head, the Chair and frequent presenter of the island-wide Bermuda Math Educators' Learning Network, and has been involved in IB curriculum development and assessment activities. Her primary area of focus is illustrating the relevance of mathematics in the everyday world around us, and guiding students to experience its applications across many disciplines. She is also the author of Mathematics for the IB MYP 1: by Concept . Review: Somewhat overwhelming - The reflection at the of each unit is a plus. There is too much information per page it is overwhelming. There are too many topics per unit and the relation to the statement of inquiry seems like a stretch. The opportunities for assessment are good and also the opportunities for service. Review: Not a Kindle version - The content of the book is really good, however the Kindle version is totally not worth it! It is really small font, and you can't zoom in or manipulate letters, columns etc. Really not a book adapted to Kindle at all. Totally regret.
