Good for toothy critters / need strong leader due to short length
I bought these as a cheap alternative to throw if I ran out of more expensive jigs. Just tried them on the gulf from land and immediately lost two of them to fish. I went on to catch 4-5 spanish macherel in the next two hours or so. These deinfitely get bitten but the only issue I had was that they are on the short side. The fish (with teeth) tend to bite your leader so I went to a wire leader to avoid losing the rest. Defintely would buy again but you need a strong leader given the short lenght of lure.

They look good. Just as pictured. Have not used them yet, but first impressions matter.

This lures works!
This lure is a JIG! And will produce fish of all kinds when used as such. It can also be used to cast and work back with a jigging motion. I know from experience, it will catch many types of fish including spotted sea trout, cero and spanish mackerel, lady fish, blue fish, jacks, snapper and even shark. It works best when the treble hook is replaced with a J hook. The treble hook it comes with is less than durable. The fish will eventually wear the color off the bait but for about $2 each they are a great value. I have purchased several boxes of them and you will too when you learn how to fish them.

Fun on the back bay.
Great for some light bay fishing, not extremely durable and the color begins to rub off and fade after just one or two good bites. Its an average spoon that will do the fun for catching some fun little fish.

Nailed it! Seriously!!
Fishing Long Island Sound in September. Seeing a lot of fish on the finder. Where ever I threw this thing, it came back with fish!!! Not kidding. Besides hitting Blues and Stripers at all depths, up top, Bonita. Mid depth, Porgy. Bottom, Sea bass added to the list. I fished one of these (rainbow) on a 3 foot clear leader for about 3 hours, never lost it!! (to my surprise Blues always hit the tail) I wore the feathers and paint off this one until I lost it in the rocks. I also bought another set but heavier. 1-1/2 and 2-1/2 oz. I am able to manage the depth and fight the current better. These are bout 1/5th the price of local bought. They must mimic peanut bunker really well. Seriously stellar day with these. Using a mid-light rig from shore, this would have to be killer. You can launch these things a mile- especially with a long pole/light line. If I only had one lure to throw at summer blues and stripers from shore this is it. So versatile.
