How long do the batteries last before they won’t recharge anymore??

I have had mine about 1 1/2 years. Batteries can be replaced when they do not work. Battery store or here can find the right battery.

If the string is cut shorter, then its (cut) ends are connected together, would it still still complete the circuit and lid up?

Hi, this solar lights string is can not be cut and reconnected, if you cut the whole string will stop working.
