I ordered the 24"x36" but need something slightly larger, but the 36"x47" would be too large, so I am wondering if this mat can be trimmed?

Yes, cut/trim the mat at the seam between the grass patches line. ...cut/trim from bottom side of the mat. Hope this help.

How long before the ridges of grass sticking up due to it being tightly folded will flatten out? It's unusable as it is.

Our mat doesn't have any ridges and I don't remember having a problem when we first bought the mat. I really like this mat, because the rubber bottom is non slip on our stoop. Has it gotten wet yet? maybe it will flatten out after being wet.

Can it be washed in washer and dried in a dryer?
