I am currently using it in my best with my android auto dongle which has HDMI input supportec, it plays the movies and finds perfectly through it and no more getting bored when my EV is charging. Enjoying it so much. It plays the contents without jitter. Next I will try it with my projector when i have cinema show while camping.

I have an old tv that has no USB ports so this has turned out to be a saver. The packaging was excellent. Everything neatly packed. Has HDMI, av input output cable and a remote. Connected as soon as I received it. No issues works without a hassle. I was able to play MP4, mkv videos with ease and it even showed me the bootable files I had in another USB although it doesn't boot obviously. Turns on pretty fast as well. I did use only HDMI cable to connect though.

It’s OK, but only just so. And unfortunately, it seems to struggle with higher bitrates. Playback of around 50mbps encoded video - as it comes, for example, from 4K action cameras - is jerky and stutters. UPDATED AND DOWNGRADED: Actually had even more issues. Sound dropouts and the player loosing the sound and video synchronisation, getting worse the longer a video plays. Had to return it and bought an Android TV box which works fine.

I was on the verge of returning this item, as it would not play any file because a patchy signal was being sent to my projector. However, it would seem that the HDMI cable supplied is not very good, or at least mine wasn't. After switching to a fairly decent HDMI cable I had a breakthrough and the device works fine - no lagging, poor resolution etc. It does what the advertisement says. In conclusion, it is good value for money and the picture quality is fine but I must take one star away, (a) for replacing the supplied HDMI cable and (b) the remote control only works when you point it directly at the sensor, just like the remotes of late 1970s!

I was using an external drive on an older tv, the USB was not compatible with SkyGlass. I was hesitant purchasing new kit, but this has exceeded my expectations. The speed which the external drive is read in comparison to using via the usb is just brilliant. Excellent value and highly recommended.

Does what it says on the tin, very easy to set-up

Was looking for something to make it easy to play some old videos and pictures in the big screen. This little unit is so easy to use. Simply plug in and turn on. It’s as easy as that the player just does as it says and you can just watch your pictures one after another. The quality of the pictures is just like the people were there in front of you. I also love the functionality, there is so many setting so that you can get the most out of all your old media.

I may have been unlucky with mine, but it kept switching on and off, and when I had jammed the power plug in as hard as I could and got the unit working, the USB video was punctuated by constant clicks and crackles that did not exist on the file. The unit was surprisingly small and felt cheap - I felt for forty quid you are entitled to better quality. Sent back for a refund (very promptly processed - thanks Amazon.)

Tras probarlo por varias semanas, no puedo poner nada en su contra. Buena calidad, En español y se entiende muy bien. Para aquellos que dicen que no tiene calidad, debo decir que para que este aparato rinda al cien por cien, hay que poner un disco duro bueno, una película con Calidad mínima Hd y verla en una pantalla de calidad o proyector de calidad. Es imposible sacar buenos resultados a este aparato cuando una de estas dos piezas clave no tiene calidad: Proyector o TV más Película o vídeo que se quiera ver.

Lo sto usando da pochi giorni e per ora funziona bene, grossa pecca il cavo di alimentazione con spina UK (di cui non ho trovato indicazione al momento dell'acquisto) che comporta l'acquisto di un altro alimentatore o di un adattatore.

This looked like a great product....until I tried to use it. Then I found the power cord is not comparable for Australian power points. I've had to return it. Australian buyers beware.
