Topping L30 II

I have got quite a few headphone amps ( over a 10 year period ) and this one is fantastic for the price ( got it on offer ! ) it's hard to believe the sound this can produce and the power to drive expensive headphones .. My LCD 3 isnt the easiest to drive well , but this L30ii does it with ease on high gain .. good control in the Bass and Sub Bass , Mids are clean , highs are crisp ... pretty much ideal really ... it won't hide issues with some headphones , its too neutral for that .. comparing it with my Deckard it is really much the same and that amp did cost considerably more , granted its got a DAC inbuilt but sound wise , little difference ... fed the little thing with 5 different DAC's I have ... its good with all of them .. no hiss , gets to loud to use them before any distortion can creep in .. Baby A90D I am guessing ... pretty much as good as anyone would probably need to be honest and very cheap ! build is good , if you want a good sounding amp and do not want remote control and have a good DAC already ... give it a go ... it sounds better than my Beyer A1 from many years ago ( Class A ) and costs a 10th !! unsure of its lifespan only had a short while ... but hey !!! its Really good value !!

Sound quality is excellent, the amp measures really well (ASR). Drives dynamic and planar with ease. Gain settings are sensible, medium setting has been fine for me on HD650 and HiFiMan 400. I paid £131 and I consider that to be a real bargain. New unit, so I can't comment on longevity, but I understand Topping sorted out the L30 issues with this L30 II, so hopefully it also has a long life.

This amp is quite good for either headphone or speakers I've my set up for the two and the toggle you have for both means you are damaging your headphones while listening to speakers, most other headphone ampa don't do this, the only draw back for this amp is the power supply as it's. Linear power supply and trying to get a replacement brick or cable cost quite a bit depending on where you live for my myself I got this as a replacement for my version 1 of this amp as it would of cost me more than half the value of the current price so my old one is a back up now

Love this product, has been an amazing upgrade for my audio set-up. Paired with the DT990 pro 250 ohms and I couldn't be happier. The only thing is that it doesn't come with any RCA cables so be sure to pick some up!

For this price its a no brainer. Decent built quality and sounds fantastic.

Très bon ampli, la gain par rapport à la sorite casque d'un ampli de puissance est audible. Chauffe pas mal à l'utilisation donc attention au placement la sortie RCA ne fonctionne pas en même temps que la sortie casque, il y a un switch en façade. C'est son seul défaut

Ho acquistato questo amplificatore per utilizzarlo con la mia cuffia AKG K702 (62ohms). Collegando la cuffia direttamente alla mia scheda audio esterna (Presonus 26c) il volume era molto basso anche con il potenziometro al 100% mentre ora il volume è ottimo. Molto comoda la possibilità di scegliere tra 3 diverse potenze di uscita (hi, midi, low), così come il selettore di output tra cuffie ed eventuali diffusori/amplificatore. La qualità dell'audio mi sembra ottima, con una risposta in frequenza piuttosto lineare. Bello il packaging e ottima la qualità costruttiva (chassis e selettori in metallo, potenziometro di buona qualità, piedini in gomma antiscivolo), piuttosto ingombrante l'alimentatore. Unica nota negativa: scalda davvero molto, dopo qualche ora la superficie superiore diventa quasi rovente. Rapporto qualità-prezzo buono, anche se probabilmente il prezzo (120€) potrebbe essere leggermente inferiore. In conclusione, un ottimo prodotto abbinabile a diversi modelli di cuffie.

It delivers a lot of power while sounding quite clean. The materials are nice, and it's easy to use. It's everything I needed at $150.

If you only have one of them, you will absolutely enjoy whatever it plays. I have to listen very carefully to find these small differences: * L30 has the best details among the three. * L30 and Vali 2 has better bass than Magni Hersey. * L30's treble is amazingly bright, perfect for violin solo! * Vali 2 is sometimes more musical. If you like tube sound, you know what I mean. Its sound is warmer and more exciting than the two solid-state amps, which are clean but cold. * L30 and Magni Heresy often have very close sound. * Magni Heresy stays pretty cool while L30 can be quite warm after a while. (Vali 2 is way warmer than these solid-state amps) Subjectively, I think Topping L30 (and its "sibling" E30) has better and more refined finish. It has a comfortably larger volume knob, which is smooth to turn. One nitpicking is the volume mark (the white dot at around 3 o'clock in the picture) on the knob is not clear enough. Audiosciencereview shows L30's impeccable performance in science. My subjective experience is on par with their review. Go get one and you will love this little gem!

I enjoy listening through headphones quite often, and I listen through some fairly expensive gear. One being a MCIntosh MHA 100 headphone amp and another amp, a Primaluna Evo 400. This was purchased to obtain a decent portable setup for my office which changes. I run this with a very inexpensive Aiyima and Topping Dac. And I must say my over all impression is that I am very happy with with how well this headphone amp performs. It’s DEAD quiet and sounds neutral it’s presentation. I use it with a preamp in between this and a topping DAC. The preamp allows me to have tone controls, as I like to have some flexibility. Let me tell you, for the price I don’t think you can beat it. I has enough power to drive many headphones and delivers more than enough I need with three gain settings (low, med, high) with a smooth volume knob. This entire setup is just around 300 dollars with the most expensive piece being the headphone amp at half that. So not bad at all. I think most people who try this amp will be very pleased. I havnt tried to bypass it to see if it’s completely or neutral or now with it running between a source and say, and amp that doesn’t have a headphone out. For those with amps that don’t have a headamp out, this may be a be try good solution, or for those that want a cool little desktop setup. Overall a win A+.
