SONOFF THR316D WiFi Smart Switch with Temperature Monitoring,Compatible with Alexa & Google Assistant(with THS01)

First thing I did was flash Tasmota onto this. There are four pads on the circuit board for soldering on a header. You need a 3.3v serial TTL to USB adapter to flash this. You’ll need to adjust the timing for stable readings from the Temp/RH sensor, there’s info on the device page. Works great for controlling a dehumidifier in my crawlspace. I have it connected to Home Assistant and can control it via automations.

I installed Tasmota on this and it needed an autoexec.bat created in the file editor with "DhtDelay 500,40" on one line for it to work. It took me hours to find the forum post that had the solution. This is due to the new RJ11 port sensor having different timing. Once that change was made the sensor was working perfectly and I'm very happy with it. I'll likely transfer it to a soon to be built 3D printing enclosure to manage and control a small heater and fan.

I needed a Wi-Fi based thermometer that could be Home Assistant integrated. This fit the job perfectly!

Big improvement over the previous model. Connections are solid and the device connected to the app without any issues. The display is hard to see without any direct lighting. But, not a deal breaker since the app gives you all the information you need.

Aber das ist nur ein kleiner Kritikpunkt bei einem ansonsten hervorragenden Produkt.

This product was a game changer for me. I wired it with the same 14/2 wiring that is used inside the walls so that it's not a fire hazard (like using extension cord wire) when running a 1500W space heater. The bedroom I'm in can get rather cold in the winter... much colder than the rest of the house. Having to get up to constantly adjust the heat from that analog dial space heater was rather troublesome. With this gadget and how I wired it, I can mount it to and plug it directly into the wall, then plug the space heater directly into it, leave the settings on the space heater set to full blast, and have the sensor automatically trigger the space heater to come on and off based on the temperature in the room. It's great. The only drawback is that once you have gone into the eWeLink app to turn the switch's automatic setting on, it will continue to do so and will remain automatic as long as it still has power. If you lose power for any reason (even for only a second), when the switch reboots and reconnects, it will still show as auto on in the app, but will need to be reset again in the app by turning the auto setting off then back on again. Hopefully this is something that the manufacturer of the product can fix with a firmware update.
