It works!
I am so very pleased with this product. I have a half acre lawn at my second home, and I was spending a lot of money paying a landscaping service to mow the lawn. I'm not here for chunks of the mowing season so mowing myself wasn't an option, and anyway this cost less than a sit down mower. Just the fact that it works at all is amazing to me, and is a testament to an incredible piece of engineering. Well done team Husq!Is some part of my 5* review due to the fact that I like gadgets? Yes it is. My neighbors are all jealous as hell.If I had it to do over I'd probably pay to have someone install it. It isn't particularly hard, but it took some time and there is a learning curve. I didn't have to mess around much after I finally got the ground wire in. I'm pretty technically comfortable, but if you have doubts it would be nice to have someone get it running for you. There is a lot of good YouTube content to help if you do it yourself. The software is pretty straightforward. One major issue I had to solve is that my home is remote and has no cell service, so I also had to put in an LTE network extender. It would be nice if it could work directly from Wifi in addition to a cell network, but I can see why they chose the cell network. I get additional utility from the LTE network extender (phones work) so it isn't a problem. My yard has some significant slopes as well as a culvert, and the mower has no problems at all. The ability to run the guide wires to difficult to reach sections is well considered. I have a chunk of lawn that goes through about a 6 foot gap and the mower finds its way back there every now and again. One minor note is that this mower DOES NOT work like a traditional mower where once it passes over a section of lawn you get a nice uniform length cut. At first I was wondering if the rotor was even spinning. But from an engineering standpoint it makes sense. There is a very light spinning rotor with 4 very small retractable razor blades. There isn't a lot of kinetic energy so if your mower runs over something it isn't ruined. The mower needs to be running considerably more often to keep your lawn tended. but who cares, you are not doing the mowing! You need to tune the number of hours per day the motor is running to keep your lawn nice while not putting too much wear and tear on the lawn. But the end result is your lawn always looks really nice and is more or less always the right length. Now the only question is how many years of service will I get out of it? As long as it makes it past 2 summers I'll continue to invest in this technology.

Mows my 12000 sq ft of lawn with little issue
A pain to put the wire in with the stakes. I have a fairly big lawn, but it took about 20 hours of work to do it well. If I had to do it again, I would definitely rent a trencher that puts the line in for about $60 from Home Depot. The mower wants to spend most of the time in the back and left (smaller) side of the yard. For whatever reason, it doesn't find it's way up to the large front lawn on the right side enough by itself. I set the mower to always start up there and that forces it up there enough that it keeps the whole yard mowed.I've been running it for about 2 months. It runs about 7 hours a day, 7 days a week and the lawn is always perfectly mowed. It really is nice to always have the lawn mowed. Never have to go out and do it.Mower has had almost no issues. Handles steep hills. Handles bumpy terrain. Got stuck on a very steep muddy spot once.I highly recommend getting one. Very cool. Don't need to mow now. Don't need to have a huge riding mower taking space in the shed or garage.

Versatile and amazing little mower.
The 430XH is amazing. I purchased it during Amazon Prime Days. After Amazon originally delivered a different model, once the 430XH was received (after very timely and helpful Amazon support) setup was a bit of a chore since it uses wires to manage its boundaries and to guide it back to the home base. It took some trial and error to get the boundary wires exactly where they need to be but once set up and calibrated, it has worked like a champ! The Husqvarna app is simple to use and you can use voice command (via Alexa or Google) once linked to direct the 430XH. The mower seems very durable. Other than doing some weed whacking around the edges, it has saved me time and effort which can be used to do other yard work that has been put off. This turned out to be a great deal during Prime Days!

Works great and super quiet
The media could not be loaded. I'll get the two pain points out of the way first: One if the front wheels fell off 5 feet into its first mow. I was able to fix it with minimal mechanical knowledge but it has been 2 days and no word from support yet. The second issue is just setup time running the guide wire, it's not complex or hard, just a very slow methodical process. I used one spool of wire and it took about 5 hours to lay the wire. If you plan to bury it You can probably triple that time estimate. Now to the things I love:- I got the 430XH model for a lawn in the PNW and it works great. I set the cut height to 3" and after 2 days the lawn already looks better than if I did it.- No issue with it cutting the guidewire. I was very careful in setting the wire and did a walkthrough before my first cut to find/fix issues. The entire lawn has been done 3 times and not a single cut wire.- Absolutely dead quiet after the first cut. It'll make a little noise when hitting tall grass the first time but is super quiet after, maybe only 15-20db. You can hear it hitting the tall grass in my video.- Good options for smart rain and night parking if you've got nocturnal critters that come thru the yard.- Lots of existing Youtube content for tips and repair advice if needed. I probably spent 2 hours watching videos prior to my setup which made the whole process much easier. Recommend adding a loop with a few inches every so often during setup, you'll be grateful if you need to make a change later.Overall I highly recommend, the initial setup is definitely time intensive but once youre past that hurdle its smooth sailing.
