Inconceivable, 20th Anniversary Edition: A Woman's Triumph over Despair and Statistics [Indichova, Julia, Northrup M.D., Christiane] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Inconceivable, 20th Anniversary Edition: A Woman's Triumph over Despair and Statistics Review: Very strong recommendation - This book was incredible. I read it while in the middle of my IVF journey and it gave me so much hope - not only for my desired outcome but also that whatever happened, it would be okay. I then signed up for one of Julia’s online group programs, and that was similarly amazing. For every woman who joined, we all watched each other experience transformations. I have referred others to this book and her classes, and they have had amazing experiences and also referred others. I now have the children I was working for with IVF. But aside from that, I have come to believe that Julia is a deeply wise and intuitive person, who is listening on a much deeper level to what you say than 99% of even the best trained doctors and therapists. If you’re struggling, anxious or desperate about your fertility journey, and are open to self reflection, I’d highly recommend this book and Julia’s online classes and counseling resources. Review: Totally Inspiring book! - I found Julia through her website and classes originally. When I read her book, both Inconceivable and Fertile Heart, I was amazed at the amount of heart, knowledge, hope and reality she put out there for me and those of working to create a family. If you can get your hands on her imagery exercises (some detailed in book and most on her website) buy them. Amazing! The bottom line that i see in all of this is that a) anything is possible and b) you have to be committed to yourself and the process. I have read a LOT of self-help books and I was amazed at how well-written this book was. And, that julia's heart and passion come through every page. I think the main message is one that we don't always want to hear but is the key-the answers to what we want and the child that we want to birth always lie inside of us. And, that our bodies are giving us clues and information that is imperative to pay attention to and honor. As, conception and birth are just one part of the process. We want to be healthy mothers and fathers-physically and emotionally once we have these babies. Her book gives a great roadmap to believing in yourself, trusting your own body and intuition and saying "I am going to do this my way. And, I am my own best doctor if I really listen to myself." There are a lot of tips about diet and nutrition and self-care that i highly recommend and was already following prior to this book. But, let's be real here--most of the things that are included here are practical and intuitive and I am SO glad that Julia gets into more detail as to why you should make the changes. Caffeine, alcohol, sugar, white flours, etc-we know they are bad for us and should cut them out. Julia is proof, if you read about her FSH and how she brought it down--that cutting those things out can really change the course of your life and birth journey. I feel like what Julia promotes is not just "here's how to have a baby" but here's how to find out why you want to have a baby, how you might be holding yourself back, how to explore those things and how to take care of yourself physically and emotionally along the way. Read it. Buy it and the Fertile Female.

I got impatient and bored with this
Much of the book is anecdotal, meaning the author gives you LOTS of day-to-day details about her routine living habits and the thoughts crossing her mind. I got impatient and bored with this. All I really wanted was the END of the story (the baby) and the things she did to get there. The whole book could have been summed up in less than 10 pages. I enjoyed her collection of shorts from other women, who did just that: They shared their conception stories in just a few paragraphs. Overall, the book was encouraging and gives any woman trying to conceive a little extra hope. But it will try your patience, which is something that women trying to conceive are already short on!!

GOOD READ WHETHER YOU'RE STRUGGLING W/ FERTILITY OR NOT...
I stumbled onto Julia's books and her website while browsing on Amazon. She had commented on someone else's book, and it brought me to read about her books and website. I am generally a slow reader and rarely finish a book. I started reading "Inconceivable" and found it an easy read and highly enjoyable! I carried this book every where I went and read, read and read. I finished it in one week! - which never happens for me. In general, we eat very healthy and organic, but this book, Julia's story, brought me to another level. It is soooo worth the reading! Now, I am almost halfway through "The Fertile Female" her second book, and again, am carrying it around with me every where I go! It's one of those books that you can sit down and really, really get into and you feel like you're right there in the story, too. I highly recommend BOTH of Julia's books. I've also ordered her Imagery CD and some Conference Tapes from her website Fertile Heart. They just arrived yesterday. I have not been struggling with infertility, but more "obstacles" in trying to conceive our second child. I've had a miscarriage and my second ectopic pregnancy this time around, meanwhile, I'm just getting older... now 42! So, anything I can do to preserve my fertility, and in general just be the healthiest I can be - is well worth doing. Besides all of that - I've just really, really, really enjoyed reading her books and following the exercises. They're very peaceful exercises - I LOVE IT!!!

Must read for anyone going through infertility struggle. Suggests a whole new perspective of looking into the process of having a baby. Provides lots of emotional support. Lots of steps that Julia had taken to have her baby naturally is directly applicable to couples going through emotionally draining infertility process

I loved this book. It is easy to read, and very informative, it has very good tools to use if you are trying to be pregnant. There are something I don't agree with that too little fat is preferable, and research shows fat (good fat like avocados, coconut oil, etc) are good and necessary for our health. The exercises she presents there are simply great. I definitely recommended

If you are in your struggle for fertility, this book will change your perspective towards the problem. It's encouraging and inspiring and I strongly recommend to read it, especially if you feel nothing is helping you enough. The author generously shares her story, her pain, her journey into her self-awareness, and her joy! A visionary woman!
