Yes. I have size 7- 7 1/2 foot. It feels very comfortable on, and has a gel squishy form that makes it fit around the foot. Saves my ankle every time.

Thats hard to say. It fits pretty snug. So, it may cover more of his foot and ankle because of the size. Also, the cold only lasts about 15-20 mins and he must wear a crew sock when wearing the ankle pack. It does not need to touch bare skin. I wish the cold lasted longer, but I really like it.
