Spigen Ultra Hybrid MagFit Designed for iPhone 14 Pro Case (2022) [Anti-Yellowing] [Military-Grade Protection] Compatible with MagSafe - White

Had this June of last year. Generally I love spigen cases, but just realized this last year when it was hard for me to find a good case for my then newly purchased iPhone 14 pro. Spigen cases have a good variety, but most importantly, actually protect your phone. And this particular is very sturdy while providing great protection and doesn’t feel bulky! Fits the phone like a glove. Have dropped my phone many times, or had it knocked out of my hands by my kids by accident, and my phone has been well protected. Have traveled out of country, put it to heavy duty usage, and it’s still in great condition. So far my case hasn’t yellowed much, though probably not as clear as when first purchased. But I periodically take case off to clean phone and disinfect case and phone, so not sure if that helps. Button cutouts are nice and flush against the phone, making it fairly easy to press. It doesn’t quite show the true color through as much as I’d like, but great for what it is. Charges fine and well with MagSafe and regular charger. It is a very snug fit, but I haven’t had much issues with it myself unless I’m wearing fake nails - my real nails are short and often I just use my finger pads to pry case open. It’s a little annoying, but not enough for me to complain. I hate having to sift through so many different products to find a good one, so will most likely to stick with spigen from now on for my phone cases - looks great and reliable!!! Highly recommend!!

Works well to protect phone. Nice clear color. Mag safe ring works well - holds phone tightly to magnetic charger. Perfect fit, buttons are easy to press.

So many clear cases I’ve gotten yellow quickly. This one truly is AMAZING! After over a year, there isn’t any yellowing in sight. Its a great fit and protects my phone from drops. I drop it all the time, the case isn’t scuffed (super durable), and my phone is completely fine. Its easy to take on/off for cleaning and doesn’t affect pressing buttons (they’re still easy to press).

UPDATE: October 7, 2023 The case is still great but… it got yellow - very very yellow… yellow to the point that it hurts to see it. It started turning yellow around 5 months or so after I got it and it got progressively worse. If you buy this case, know you’ll have a pretty much perfect case that will undoubtedly turn yellow after a couple of months of use. I’m taking my original 5-star rating down to a 4 because of this yellowing issue. Although it’s true that pretty much every single case of this material suffers from the same problem, I think a true 5-star rating should be reserved for a case like this that does not turn yellow. This case is perfect otherwise. ———— ORIGINAL REVIEW: March 4, 2023 Just got this case and initial impressions are quite positive. TLDR: If you just want the gist, here it is: the case fits great on the phone, has perfect cutouts, isn’t bulky or slippery and it feels like it’ll add quite a bit of protection to the phone. It is a bit difficult to remove though, and I’ve yet to see whether this material will turn yellow quicker than I’d like it too. For a detailed first impression of the case, keep reading. Here are the pros and cons I can see after using the case for about an hour or so: Pros: - Perfect fit: the phone fits very snugly in the case, and the cutouts for the charging port, speaker grills, cameras, and mute switch are very precise. The edges of the case perfectly line up with the screen. - Tactile buttons: they are very clicky and responsive. - Perfect cutout for MUTE switch: my thumb fits perfectly inside the cutout for the mute switch. I have somewhat average size hands so I imagine most people will like this too. - Perfect material: it isn’t hard plastic, but is isn’t super soft either. I feel like this is the perfect formula for the material as it appears to be hard enough to not bend on the sides but soft enough to provide cushion for the phone in case I drop it. - Not slippery: though the back of the case feels quite slick and smooth, the case isn’t really slippery when you hold it as the sides seem to create some friction in your hands. - Lip on bottom corners: the case has a small lip on each of the bottom corners that aren’t noticeable when you hold it, yet provide enough lift so that when the phone is placed on a flat surface the camera bump (which has its own lip) isn’t too far off from the rest of the phone. The phone doesn’t wobble when you place it on a surface unless you push down the top left of the phone. That’s pretty neat. - Protection: the lip on top of the case is tall enough to protect your phone screen, but not so tall as to interfere with swiping from top/bottom. The lip around the camera bump is pretty good too - just enough to protect the camera. Now, in addition to that, the case has something Spigen calls Air Cushion Technology. I’m not quite sure whether it works as intended or not, but I’ll add it here as a pro as it seems to be a good thing. Basically, the idea is the case has a little pocket in each of the corners which should add extra impact protection to the phone in case it’s dropped. Whether they work as intended is yet to be seen, but at least from a first impressions perspective they look like they would. I do feel like the protection added by this case is more than adequate and I don’t expect my phone to suffer too much from a typical drop. - Design: there isn’t really much to say about the design here as it’s just a plain clear case, though I have to say I kinda dig the font and placement of the Spigen logo on one of the sides as it lines up perfectly with the antena line of the phone. Cons: - Somewhat difficult to remove: I’ve only had the case for about an hour or so, but it is somewhat difficult to remove the phone from it. You have to exert more force than I would have expected. I don’t take my phone out of the case much but we’ll see how my feelings about this evolve over time. - Yellowing? I add this here with a question mark as this material is notorious for turning yellow after just weeks or months of usage. Spigen says they’ve added anti-yellowing tech so we’ll see how good that is. And there you have it. I’ll update this review later if I find anything worth mentioning about the case, or if my opinions about it change.

I purchased this phone case almost 2 years ago (44 months) and the case has been my daily driver since. The backplate with the MagSafe has held up remarkably well and does not show any signs of yellowing. However, the sides are much softer for impact protection, and these have definitely yellowed. Over time, removing the phone from the case has caused a separation of the backing plate and sides. This issue has not affected the functionality of the case whatsoever, but it did remind me that I am likely due for a new case. Then, I found out about Spigen's 2 year warranty and reached out to see if they could do anything for me. Spigen sent me a brand new replacement, free of charge. For that reason alone, I would tell everyone I know that is considering this or any other Spigen non-leather case to make the purchase. I love my Spigen cases and now I love the brand behind it just as much!

GOOD QUALITY AND ANTI YELLOWING

I’ve been using this clear case for over a year on and off. I am a heavy phone user and it’s always with me. It’s often in my hand or in my pocket. Due to this, many cases get dingey. Not this one. I can’t even tell if it’s discolored at all. It certainly hasn’t yellowed or turned brown. It fits my iPhone 14pro like a glove. It has protected against drops and still looks presentable. I did add an additional circle magnet on the back for added MagSafe capabilities for my car mount. I would 1000% buy this case again. Six months later, and just updating again, still very little discoloration and very happy with this phone case!

Good case for the value. It has been held up well over the years I have had it. Had some scary drops, but if you have a screen protector and this, you should be good. It does get yellow slowly (year of use), but it’s honestly fine for the price.
