GB-DGF David Gilmour Signature Blue Electric Guitar Strings – Light Gauge 10-48 – Signature Series Nickel-Plated Steel Set - (3-SETS)

Received these in the mail and immediately put them on my Strat. Instantly felt a difference, can't really describe it but they just sound great and play amazingly out of the box and not even broken in. I don't have a Les Paul anymore but I might grab a set of the reds to throw on my Musicman. These will be my go to strings for my Strat from now on. Better than Ernie Ball Regular/Super Slinky, better than Elixir Nanoweb, better than D'Addario XL's. I've tried all types of strings on my Strat, and these just fit like a glove. Does Gilmour ever miss?

These are the best string ever, I use them on all my guitars and I always love them. They feel great, they play like butter, bending notes makes you feel like Gilmour, and they stay in tune pretty decent.

Great strings for e flat tuning. Pretty competitive prices with ernie ball and last just as long. I put these on my 06 mim strat and they sound great!

Been using a set of 10s for about two months. I bought these mainly because of the price, the name David Gilmour, and also because I wanted to try GHS strings. I bought 10s although I usually use 9s from another brand. These seem like very good quality strings. Tone is fine. Have had some problems with strings binding in the nut but I think it's because the nut was cut for 9s and it's not a problem with the strings themselves. They hold tune well. They also seem to resist corrosion better than some other well known brands. I generally prefer 9s for bending but haven't had problems bending with these (other than binding in the nut which is a nut problem and not a string problem). Still I'd be hesitant to recommend these 10s for a blues based player whose bread and butter is bends.

I know that strings are very personable to the guitar player. Perhaps I can offer some insights. These strings are very consistent as far as their ability to be intonated. I am primarily an acoustic player. I usually use mediums or lights with my acoustics these strings for some reason play very comfortably when I switched to electric. They are good quality. They are consistent from one set to another. They have relatively good durability. And the sound is amazing. I have been playing since I was 15 years old. I am 58 now. Love these strings.

I've always liked GHS Boomers since switching to them from Ernie Ball. I find they rarely if ever break, and hold their tune well. They sound round and fat, clear and bright to me. Plus I just love DG so this is my new go to set.

This is the second string set that has made me realised that how much of an impact gauge can make on your playing. The first was daddario flat wounds, those make you play Jazz. However, Gilmour’s boomers are excellent for playing melodic rock solos. Instantly you sound like David Gilmour, Eric Clapton and the sorts. G is unwounded thus soft to bend and has a sharp tone. Gives a nice bell tone on a strat. The top 3 strings e,a,d seem rigid when you come up from playing the bottom 3 g,b,E. The overall strum sounds balanced with a slightly heavy base notes and relatively shrill high notes without much of mids. Which somehow sounds clear and crisp. One thing I am sure of is these are going to be rusty very soon.
