Makes a great tasting cup coffee.
This is the second product I have purchased from Barrista Warrior. The first was a pour over kettle which I was very happy with and decided to give this product a try. I was not surprised that this coffee maker had the same great quality that the kettle had. The previous stainless steel screen we purchased from another brand clogged up within a couple weeks and took ages to drip the coffee so I stopped using it and went back to the trusty French press. Eventually I missed the rich and clean cup of coffee that you get from a mesh filter that this maker comes with and decided to checkout what amazon had to offer. Quick search and I stumbled on a familiar brand and ordered it right away. Packaging was adequate and it came with instructions and tips to getting the best results. I had to give it a proper test to see if the same thing happens with the clogging that the other brand had. After brewing quite a few cups of coffee it still flows just as fast as when it was new. Easy to clean and the carafe looks pretty cool on our counter, we get lots of comments on it from friends and family. Nice to see that a brand puts thought and quality into all their products through the whole line. I don’t really write reviews unless I am impressed with a product and this one is a winner for me.

Nice pour-over set
Bought this as a gift for my husband....to try a different way of making coffee. He loves it! Says his coffee tastes so much better doing it this way. We've been using the set for about 3 months and have found it to be easy to clean and simple to use. The glass seems plenty sturdy, when being careful with it. You can't go banging it around, as I'm sure it would break easily. The reusable filter is great. Just be sure to clean well after use so it doesn't clog. We've never had a problem with clogging. Overall a great purchase.

Great Pour-Over Carafe with Reusable Filter
The glass carafe is nice to have at work in lieu of the grungy k-machine.Easy to clean the carafe, just rinse and let air dry after finished. The reusable filter doesn't like to let go of the used grounds, so you will either end up with some in the drain unless you use a stick once it's dried. It would have been nice if a utensil to clean it came with it, but this was understood at purchase time.I'd buy this again, as so far, everything is going pretty well.

Cone filter failure
This product was great for the first 6 months, then, without reason, apparently, the cone filter stopped filtering. It will make half a cup in 5 minutes and then the rest just sits there and doesn't filter through. I've cleaned thoroughly and cared for well. Don't know what happened.

Coffee Maker Cons and Pros. Suggestions on how to clean the filter and keep the coffee hot.
I left 3 stars since this Coffee Maker works and makes reasonably good quality coffee. I used it for about 7 months (every day). Some suggestions/observations:1. Filter cone in its upper part has metallic ring that is welded with dots. After about 6+ months this ring almost detached from the filter and hangs on just 5-6 welded dots out of the 12, i.e. loose and difficult to use. Probably will break completely soon.2. Conical form of the filter does not look to be optimal for brewing coffee. Spherical form of the bottom of the filter probably would work better.3. I do not like the necessity to use rubber ring to make the filter sit well (without sliding) on the top of the pitcher. The form of the upper part of the pitcher and filter should be engineered the way to make rubber ring unnecessary. Also there should be a lid on the filter to prevent fast cooling of the hot water.4. Double layered filter provides good filtration, however it clogs after 3-5 weeks of use. Instructions on how to clean clogged filter will not help to make it work again, you can run it in dishwasher or keep in acid/vinegar for eternity. The problem is that there are small particles of coffee beans stuck between two layers of the filter. Citric acid or vinegar cannot remove or dissolve them.5. To actually clean the filter I used Water Floss (on high); sprayed from inside the filter for 4-5 minutes. After that the filter works as new. I find this way of cleaning the filter to be the only one that works well.6. Pitcher is nice and seems can withstand hot water stress well. Convenient to clean since the upper part is wide enough. However, it cools down very fast so by the time I finish brewing the coffee (a few minutes) it is already just warm and becomes about room temperature within just 10-15 minutes. To deal with the issue I use aluminum foil and wrap the pitcher in it before each use. It keeps coffee hot for some time. I think something needs to be engineered for the coffee maker (both pitcher and filter) to keep the coffee hot.7. Always have a feeling that pitcher is on its own and filter is something else and they were put together somewhat artificially, not initially designed one for another.

Perfect for a Cup or Two!
I don't drink lots of coffee, but when I do, I want it to be delicious. I decided to get rid of the very large coffee maker that took up way too much counterspace in my small kitchen. Just for the heck of it, I decided to get this, and I'm really happy that I did. In my opinion, it is very similar to the French press in concept. However, what I like about this is that you can use a 4-inch cone coffee filter inside the filter (incredible fine mesh, by the way) and not have to worry about debris floating in your fresh cup. It's rare that I don't find *something* wrong with a purchase, but there's nothing wrong with this one at all. Just be aware that it is very small and like a French press, you won't get cups and cups of coffee. Maybe just enough for two/three, especially if you prefer mugs. And it will never taste burnt.
