Great simple office chair dropper, I own two and love them
Love this post so far. It is simple to install and works as expected. I am heavy enough that I have no trouble putting it down. I can even put it down while standing next to the bike and pushing it down with my hand. I don't need to apply too much pressure to push it down even when just pushing on the seat. I own the 100mm version for my 2008 Kona Jake 58 cm and a 120mm for my 2010 Kona Jake 56cm. This allows me to go from max height for my chimp-like short legs and still be able to go all the way down to the collar which puts the seat about 1.5" from the top tube for max flexibility on descents. You can really have the best of both worlds with this. The only downside to this is that you must take a hand off the bars to raise/lower it so it is best on trails that I have memorized as I can lower where it isn't too rough ahead of the section I want it down for. As a rider who is new to droppers, I have no issue most of the time if I can't drop it as I am used to getting up over the seat if need be but it sure is nice to get it down about halfway for most things. This keeps the nose of the seat where I have pretty good control with my legs on the sides of the seat. For small jumps all of the way down is best. This is simple and effective and requires no extra cables which I appreciate. I try hard to keep it clean and hope that they last a long time.

Great Manual Dropper Post
I am using the dropper post on my 2010 Specialized Stumpjumper. The frame configuration doesn’t permit any internal routing, and since I have a front derailleur (3x) set up, I didn’t want to add another lever. Anyway, once I got use to the manual post seat control everything clicked. I mostly do trails, cross country, etc., not much downhill, so I can often “set and forget:” the seat height. This was an inexpensive upgrade which works great for my use.

Works.
After doing a lot of research, this is the cheapest decent office chair style dropper post I could find. The first one was pretty difficult to get it to drop, even with all my weight on it (180lbs.), so I sent it back and got another one, which was definitely easier, but sometimes I still have to pogo stick up and down a little bit to get it to drop, even after putting some stanchion lube on it. I read a lot of reports of the cheaper dropper post failing/breaking, but after some pretty extensive testing, this one's been pretty solid. For the price point, I definitely recommend it. It gets the job done. Did you find this review helpful?

Just what I needed!
I recently bought a Juiced CCX e bike which stands taller than my pedal road bike. Road bike measures about 29 inches from center of seat to center of BB, along the seat post. In order to maintain that comfortable spread, my seat ends up being almost two inches further from the ground, and I can barely touch the ground with my tip toes. This is not good for an 80-year-old man on a 65+ pound bike. This dropper post allows me to lower seat to easy mount/dismount position, then once on, rise to my ideal riding position. It might not be ideal for a mountain biker who needs to raise and lower the seat more often because it is a little awkward to grasp lever under the seat, but for someone like me, it's a simple, affordable solution. It also seems very well made, works like a charm when I ease off the seat and lift the lever, I can hear a slight sound when the seat extends fully.

Failed after one year of use.
Got this type of post to help in getting on and off the bike. Worked great for about a year. Now it won't stay up but slides down under my weight. While this post is cheaper than most, it still is a chunk of money for it to fail so soon.

Easy to lower you seat.
I added this to my e-bike so I could drop my seat when putting both our bikes on a car rack. My wife’s handlebars wound rub on my seat unless I dropped it down. Now I can drop it without any tools in a second. This drop post also allows others to try my bike with out the hassle of getting tools to lower the seat. I have only had this installed for a few weeks and a few rides. It seems solid and time will tell its durability.

Seems to be very stable, seems to work pretty good so far but if I only had it for 2 weeks
I purchased this to make it easy to get on and off my bike. At 72 years old throwing my leg up and over the bike a lot of times is slightly uncomfortable especially if I'm wearing pants restricting movement. By purchasing this drop seat post it saved me having to get a different bicycle with a step through design when the bike that I have is perfectly fine. I've had it less than 2 weeks and so far so good 👍👍👍👍👍

Wrong item again!!!
The seat post is pretty good when you finally get the right one shipped to you. I have had a nightmare getting the correct seatpost shipped to me. When the correction is finally made, I will update my review.

You have to stop to lift the seat. Good product.
