The SmartDrive MX2+ Is The Most Innovative & Lightweight Rear-Attaching Power Assist On The Market! Incredibly light and portable, yet strong and robust. Though small, it is powerful enough to help you navigate your wheelchair over almost any obstacle and terrain. It also has the strength to easily power you up steep hills and ramps. Now includes the SpeedControl Dial for easier control over the Smartdrive! Review: Inspiring designer! - Newer UPDATE: I upgraded to the E2 watch and I’m having trouble getting it to work. It should resolve the shortcomings I mentioned In my original review — but not thus far! Glad this review has been so helpful. UPDATE: Got one. Two great things about it: 1)unlike with a power wheelchair, if you run out of power, you're not stranded. You can still push yourself. When no electricity is going to the motor, the SmartDrive does NOT make a wheelchair significantly slower or harder to power or maneuver than it would be with the SmartDrive removed. 2)A ramp isn't needed to get it in/out of a vehicle! The PushTracker(watch) is unreadable (at least with my eyesight!) in daylight. It wouldn't take a lot to make it 5*. Fix that (should be easy, many ancient LCD displays work in daylight!) and add more intuitive modes. (I tried all 3.) It has attitude sensors but barely uses 'em. So I crash sometimes despite knowing how to use it. (And I crashed right away because the vendor I used (not on desertcart) said 1 tap will stop it, but 2 are needed.) And it usually takes a couple tries to start. It should figure out when it's going uphill and not consider the resistance when deciding to shut off because something seems to be wrong. It should be possible to have it work in reverse, if I'm going backward down a hill, to slow me down, (and charge the battery), no? (I studied physics, so I know it can't slow me down (more than a tiny bit) if I'm going downhill normally because it has no leverage.). The company should make it possible to use an iPhone or Apple watch in place of the PushTracker! I'm pretty sure that all that's needed is an app. And a lot of QA. Oh, and the SmartWheel (and PushTracker) should come with built-in "tile", or equivalent name brand device tracker functionality! TIP:One trick I've figured out: if you crash and the adapter is at the wrong angle, just connect the SmartDrive anyway, and lift it up as far as you can. This will, at least with my setup, always put the adapter back in the right position. I have only demoed it but I have one on order. Will update. I got out of my steel wheelchair and demoed a titanium chair with smartdrive and it was exhilarating. I’m Not sure which drive scheme I’ll use but I have a feeling I’ll like n get used to one of them. As far as I know this is by far the lightest weight power assist system. I hope the battery specifications are accurate - I have heard they often are not with the MX2+ – I am going to insist upon a unit that meets meets spec. If I was going to design a system it would look like this. Review: It's fantastic! - I'd give this 5 stars if it had braking ability for going downhill. That said, it's an AWESOME product, and I honestly do not know how I got around before! I prefer the MX2 over the MX2+ as I tend to zoom a bit and sometimes need to stop on a dime. The MX2+ requires the user to tap twice in order to turn the motor off, which is fine if you ride at slower speeds. Also worth mention, you can take this gizmo with you on an airplane!

The app doesn’t like android
I didn’t get that awesome bag! Exreme sad face because it looks awesome!! Ive been having a lot of trouble connecting my drive system to my android device which is also very disappointing but the system connects to the watch beautifully. It’s taking me time to get trained on it though.. I’ve ran into many things inside the house and almost ran over my grandparents at the store.. it picks up speed quick! :)
