Perfect. Used this for a remote support Linux Ubuntu 24.x micro PC and it worked perfectly. We’ll be using these regularly when we need to ship a small unit out for remote SIEM collectors and more.

I have had several older desktops in the tech "bullpen" meeting room taking up space. I recently moved them to a server rack, and set up raspberry pi 2 SBCs to echo the display of each. But I still need to keep a monitor on the old desktops so they would come up in the right resolution. These plugs allowed me to retire the monitors. They worked within 15 minutes of receiving them.

I am using with some of my computers when headless mode doesn't work properly. These trick the computer into thinking a monitor is continuously attached and more importantly on. The blue LED also indicates the computer is detecting the dummy monitor.

These HDMI dummy plugs are great for enabling headless setups. They simulate a display perfectly and improve remote desktop performance. The build quality is decent, and they work right out of the box. I docked one star because they feel a bit fragile, but overall, they do the job well!

I use these for several remotely controlled PC's to prevent BIOS errors and provide consistent remote screen resolution, work great.

I'm not the most savvy but I wanted to setup a media server. I used Ubuntu 22.04 and the native remote desktop on windows to connect to it. I tried setting up a virtual monitor from some forums and bricked my server so I had to reinstall Ubuntu. I decided why not try this, it's cheap. Remote desktop NEEDS a monitor and this thing worked perfectly - it basically thinks it's a 27" screen and has many resolution options. I now have two more in case I need them, just a great value deal.

The plug is only detected up to 1080p@120hz on an Intel UHD 770.
