Quality Capo
I wish I would have known about these capos before. Just returned a poor quality Dunlop and decided to try this one. Boy, what a difference! Strong spring action and smart looking. Even better, it was almost half the price less than the Dunlop. Wingo rocks!

Junk
I purchased this item back in November 2019. It is already in my box of ‘useless’ items. Other than its pleasant aesthetic, the only thing this capo does well is de-tune/de-intonate my guitar while in use, specifically on strings 1 – 3. The reason it does this is probably because the geometry of the capo clamp is not universal to all guitars. Billed as, “for Guitar, Bass, Ukulele,” the spring tension is mediocre; also, there is no tensioning adjustment to compensate between the requirements of different instruments. Given the wide-ranging differences in geometry between various guitar, ukulele and bass necks. It is difficult to imagine how one little wooden capo with a spring would support all three instruments. Therefore, unless one is lucky enough to have a guitar that this capo fits perfectly, I would not recommend the product. Replaced with a D’Addario model with a tensioning screw/knob, at less cost.

Worked great for me!!
This is a nice capo, especially for the price. The wood grain look is nice also and goes well with my acoustic guitar. It's not real wood but who cares? It has nice tension and doesn't allow any string buzz. Some have said the tension is to strong for them to open easily but I didn't find it a problem. I would take one that's too strong over a weak one any day. The 4 picks included is a nice little extra.

Does not work with my acoustic guitars.
Every capo I have had in 50 years of playing has worked, some better than others. This one always left one string inadequately depressed, making it impossible to use.

Great for price
This capo works really well overall, however, sometimes I have a little bit of an issue with it not being quite tight enough for some of the strings so it makes that annoying buzzing sound. However, I've found that if I adjust the positioning, of the capo a bit, that it works. It also is easier to work with than some of the other capos I've used in the past. The way the handle is made for this one is must more ergonomic when adjusting.

Seems to be a great value.
The capo works on my Banjo, guitars, including my classical and stays put without a problem. I have slipped on on the fly to change key when another instrument did a solo. I am completely happy. I had an injured finger for a bit and couldn't try it out but once I did I was impressed.

It is pretty small. Probably won't fit wide necks.
In the 40+ years I've been playing I haven't ever used a capo on a guitar. I used one in a house band I played upright bass in that covered some rock songs I needed to change tuning for. I've been playing my acoustics a lot lately and really don't like retuning them (superstition maybe? Idk for sure but I prefer to tune acoustics and leave them there) thinking if I change tuning too often they'll never stay in. I use a lot of different tunings.I have a jasmine, a Martin, and an Ibanez all full sized 21 fret except the Jasmine is a mid-sized body and has a tapered neck. It fits the martin and the ibanez everywhere but just barely. If you have a wide neck guitar like a big Les Paul it might not cover the high E well enough (?) so if you have a wide neck it might be a good idea to check measurements and be sure the one you get fits. This one might not.I love the look of this capo I'm not sure what the wood grain on it is. It may be paint? Or some sort of laminent or sticker but it seems to be on there really well.As I said I don't use capo's much. Now that I have one I'll be using them more. Only one of my 3 acoustics is anywhere near standard E. They're all dropped pretty low. Open C for the martin and standard D in "drop D" on the Ibanez. The Jasmine is a half step down. Now that I have a capo I can finally figure standard tuning songs out I always wanted to learn and love playing. I'll update and let you know if it does at some point. So far I used it to figure out Madona - Don't Tell Me, Lynard Skynard - Simple Man, and some classical songs I always played dropped from memory and ear to be sure I have them right.Gotta reposition it if there's a buzz. That's how I think all capo's are. If there's a buzz it means you don't have it positioned right, you may have to move it up or down or have it on a slight angle sometimes. Buzzing doesn't mean the capo is broken. It's more likely from a fret wire not being set right or the action being too low.If you have a buzz constantly you can't get rid of next time you change the strings put a piece of wood on the fret that's doing it, grab a hammer and give it a whack to set it better or file the fret wire down with a file or sand paper.Guitar's are hand made, ya know? I've run my necks on almost all my electric guitars on a belt sander and sanded the fret wires almost completely flat. I like a really low, light-touch-required action and it prevents any chance of fret buzz. It doesn't effect the sound or hurt the guitar at all. The frets aren't what creates the note you're playing they're markers. Where you put your finger on the string creates the note.Violins, Cello's and uprights are fretless. There's also fretless guitars....Any buz noise you have is that darn wire marker. Shave'r down and get rid of the noise.

Heavy duty guitar capo that looks great
The first thing you notice when you pick up this guitar capo is its weight. Its a lot heavier than normal capos that you can get on the cheap on eBay. It is also definitely heavier than a few that I bought at music shops. The capo has a wood effect (which is just stuck on vinyl). I can't comment on how long this finish will last but it seems to be stuck on quite well. The elasticity of the spring is strong and I have had no issues with the use of the capo itself. In time i expect it will loosen a bit as it does take more power than my other capos to release. However, this is a good thing as you wouldn't want it to be too loose. there is rubber where you palm hits the capo, so it is not uncomfortable either.I have tried it on both my electric, acoustic and smaller 3/4 acoustic electric guitar. It fits on all of them perfectly. Good buy!

Great purchase choice!
Id say i half gambled on this capo after looking at a few online and different prices n styles n i liked that amazon prime id get it like superfast and this one looked like it would subtlety just clip on the top of my acoustic guitar and blend in etc and also that it was very quick and easy to clip on n off and that reviews seemed good that it was better quality than what youd expect from a few pounds purchase. Anyways i gambled on it cause often you can never go by reviews like u nearly always get someone saying brilliant best thing ever and then u read the next review its like worst movie ever worst purchase ever etc etc so ..I got this capo and i am very happy!Pros -*Inexpensive *build quality excellent! *super easy to use *perfect weight *excellent feel *more attractive in realtime *feels very well springed and rubber in right places it works great wont damage anything. U couldnt possibly tell if this capo cost £3 or £33 !Cons - noneFits on and full size electric and also on a 3/4 acoustic which was its main purchase for.If you are reading this review then u must be considering so id say your prob gonna be very happy with this and justify it as aSound purchase.

Quick and Easy to Use
This is a nice easy to use Capo. No fiddling to tighten, the sturdy spring mechanism secures it in place over the neck wherever you want it. Quick release and can be easily stored on the head of the guitar. It is wood effect appearance but is actually metal, so making it robust. Recommended.

Great value for this equipment
This item was purchased for my granddaughter who is learning to play the guitar. It was recommended to me by a mate who plays in a band and I was pleased when I received it. She (granddaughter) has difficulty fitting it over the strings as she does not have the strength in her hand to open it(she is 8) but asides from that she is delighted with it. Would strongly recommend this but young children may need some assistance.

Great product, greater service
What can I say. The product itself works as intended. Nice finishing and perfect fit for both my classical guitar and electric one.I received the package without the gift picks. I contacted the seller and he was very helpful. I was going to just dismiss the missing items, but he insisted and sent me not only the picks but an extra gift. This makes the difference between sellers, and great sellers. When the product is good, and the seller is better, then this is a win win win.Definitely will be come back to this seller to see what he has before going somewhere else!
