Would you recommend the 8 or 14 inch? Do people that have the 14 inch use more than 8 inches often?

I chose the 8 inch for its portability. This device does essentially the same thing as a combination square, and I use a 6 inch combination square. The strength of this device is drawing a line along the edge of a piece of wood. You can do this with a combination square by placing your pencil on the tip of the ruler, however, its easy for the pencil to fall off when you move square. This device with the “t” makes scribing a line easier plus it has a scale on the “t” . As to the 14 or the 8 inch, it depends on how deep you want to be able to scribe. The 14 can do everything the 8 can do, it would just not be as portable of a size.

Isn't this just the exact same tool that Banggood / DrillPro sells for 29 bucks ?

I just got the one from Banggood and it's the same with one qualifier/advantage. The Banggood version has both metric and imperial measurements on it. If you slide the rule out and flip it over it has the opposing measurements on it and on the base it has a metric vernier on the miter side and imperial vernier on the square side.
