Not effective nor easy to use.
This product disappointed me. The product cuts through the inside of the pod top. It leaves the filter material attached to the inside of the pod. It leaves grounds in the filter and cleaning out the pod is messy and difficult. I do not recommend it.

Great for Recycling Pods
It works much better than a knife, which I was using before. Dry out the pods and the filter comes out easier. It’s work but much better than throwing the pods away.

Messy
This is a good concept but it does not work like it shows. It's just messy and a lot of the coffee grounds stay in the cup. The recycle a cup works much better.

Very messy, and didn't separate the filter
Followed instructions on the box. The tool removed the foil top, but mangled it in the process. It didn't remove the filter, so I had to stick my fingers in the k-cup to tediously peel the filter from the sides of the cup. This got coffee grounds on my fingers, then flung the grounds around when I did pull it out. There are better choices.

Does the job-bit of effort to get it done
It opens the pods fairly easily which allows me to dump out the coffee grounds into my garden. Very difficult to scrape it hard enough inside the pod to get the liner released, so I stopped bothering with that. I just use it to cut through the foil neatly, dump the grounds and then toss the pod with liner in the recycle bin. My trash service has been dumping my trash and recycling into the same truck anyway so any extra effort to get the liner out is not worth it. I looked at everything out there to process my used kcups and this was the best.

Waste of money.
This product sounds better than it really is. The saw tooth top edge is very dull and takes some effort to punch through the top. The ring of bumps that is supposed to remove the filter material requires a lot of pressure and hard twisting to work. Uually takes multiple attempts. All the while the cup itself wants to collapse from the effort needed to make this thing work. Don't waste your money.

Don’t listen to any bad reviews, it works great!
Almost did not purchase this product because of some of the reviews, however I decided to give it a try; so glad I did! My wife wanted us to recycle our k-pods, but it was such a pain to clean them out we gave up. Then I bought the cup hero and recycling k-pods became easy. A couple of important tips, first read the tiny little page of instructions, it makes all the difference, it was better than the one video I watched. Second don’t spin the cup hero in circles, rotate it back and forth, firmly holding the k-pod and applying the pressure as you do. Sometimes the filter doesn’t come out the first time, so just repeat and it will. Only takes around 30 seconds.

Waste of Money
This product just doesn't work. Period. Yes, it is easy to use, sturdy and easy to clean but it doesn't work. I practiced and practiced, and it still did not work. It will only separate the thin cover from the plastic pod. It will never separate the paper filter from the pod. I tried and tried but it just doesn't work. For this to work the teeth would have to be sharp and they are not. I wish I had never bought this terrible product. Do yourself a favor and buy something else.
