CBS crinkle dichroic is smooth when initially coated but transforms during fusing to a rough, brilliantly colored coarse texture. Whether fused with the coating exposed or capped, the dichroic surface crinkles and crystallizes sending thousands of miniature crystalline-like mirrors upward, positioning themselves in different directions.
