Gimble is not encased above light. A flush mount is sealed from drafts and a gimble should also be sealed to ensure nothing stops the travel of the gimble such as insulation. The strangest thing is these are not 4 inch they are 3 inch and cutout is 3.5 inch. May not work with certain dimmers

Looks to be quality made - all metal and very bright but manufacturer says to only have four of these on a circuit with a dimmer???? (Small print)Wow! Sunco lights that I’ve used in the past are not as limited as these as far as how many to put on a circuit with a dimmer. Will I void the warranty if I put more than four of these on a single dimmer switch? I’ll find out soon enough. Keep you posted!

easy to install

Installed 12 of these in exsisting recessed cans the install went well they are nice and bright will keep these in mind next time i need an eyeball trim happy so far

Lights were good but not all, have 4 lights that flicker so bad that it is not usable. Good for the money sure but I am not sure how will the other last

This unit is very easy to install. It has a modern looking flat bezel that is more appealing than the "Eye-ball" type Gimbals. Great product.

I haven’t started using all of them yet, but so far the units I’ve installed work well. No problems, they work as described.
