This set offers surprisingly good value for money for only 290 pieces. The bricks snap together with satisfying precision, and the finished model is a sturdy, visually appealing piece. While not a direct Lego product, it certainly holds its own in terms of quality and design. The model itself is a clever construction, showcasing some innovative building techniques that result in a dynamic shape without sacrificing playability. My young builder is absolutely smitten, declaring it a fearsome army plane (Lego or no Lego!). The included minifigure is a nice touch. Assembly was generally smooth sailing, with clear, if somewhat oddly colored, instructions. The only hiccup was a confusing color choice for the printed guide, but that was easily overcome. Overall, this set is a fun and rewarding build that delivers a satisfying final product. It’s a great option for those looking for a quality building experience without the premium price tag.

Packaging : The set comes in a standard DAHONPA box, containing some bags of parts, a sticker sheet, and an instruction book. Instructions : The instructions are very well printed and easy to follow. Stickers : the stickers are glossy and clear-backed. They're all well printed and decently well cut. Parts quality : The parts are of a decent quality in terms of fit and finish. The Minifig is ... of the usual Sluban quality, which isn't great, but is decent enough. Set design : The set is very simply designed, and as such feels like it is missing some details. With that said, it is very playable for kids. Overall thoughts : Sluban is known for being pretty 'middle of the road' with their offerings, and this set is pretty middle of the road. It's not particularly glaringly bad in any regard, and it is wonderfully lacking in custom / unique elements, but it just feels like there's some details that they could have gone for that are missing. Fortunately, kids imaginations will fill those in quite well.
