I love that the flame is nice and wide. You can use this to sear sous vide steaks much moreso than other torches with a narrower flame. I love that when I hold this upside down the flame does not go out unlike cheaper ones. I also love the button to turn on and off. When you release the button, it turns right off. This thing is expensive for what it is, but worth it.

Believe it or not, I bought this to sear a crust on Sous Vide steaks, not for shrink tubing. The burner itself is the same as the Sansaire Searing Kit, it just has the Bernzomatic branding on it, and does not come with the raised searing rack. As I didn't care about the former, and didn't need the latter, I opted to purchase this for a good deal less than the Sansaire kit. This thing works quite well to put a crust on a sous vide steak in just a few minutes. Plus it has the "cool factor" of finishing your meals with a "flamethrower". For those not familiar of sous vide, it is a method of cooking (usually steaks and other meats) with food sealed in a bag, and kept in a tightly temperature controlled water bath for a period of time. So, a medium rare steak would sit in a water bath for 2 or more hours. At which point, the steak is perfectly cooked consistently to a medium rare doneness. However, from the outside still looks uncooked. Queue the BZ4500HS. The end result is a beautiful, restaurant-quality steak without the restaurant prices. I would highly recommend this torch for anyone looking to step up their cooking game, and it probably works OK for heat shrink too.

Much larger flame than the standard model. Just what I needed. Easy Piezo ignition starts every time. Well built and should last a long time.

Worked for two or more times now doesn't work will not fire up

I will be using this in the kitchen. First impression and testing; The feel of the 4500hs is premium, durable, fire is strong, fast ignition, confidently safe to use as well. I bought a propane to butane converter and it works well with butane too, planning to use this for torch hei, burgers, steaks, vegetables, etc... I also have the 8000 and it is just as good. This torch is absolutely amazing for searing sous vide cooked food. If you look at this torch and the Sansaire torch you will notice they are the same so this is a nice alternative than buying the kit. I have compared this to a new TS8000 that my friend recently bought. Although this torch doesn't have a regulator, this torch has a wider and longer flame that quickly sears anything you point it to. Overall its an amazing torch for sous vide.

Using this for searing with sous-vide cooking. Works well without imparting a gas taste. Takes a little experimenting to find the right working distance to avoid unintentional charring while maximizing a fast sear. By model number, this is the same as the torch head sold by Sansaire for much more. I'd give it 5 stars if a Searzall fit it.

They work great. Not very good for vinyl wraps though. They have a very hot pointy flame. Very easy to burn.

Use it for sous vide. Best one I have used to date.

Works really well, never fails to light expensive but you get what you pay for great quality. 👍

I bought this as package online with Amazon with the Searzall attachment but this is not compatible with this attachment. Very disappointed

this large flame, lock on button, and regulated use any angle body, is perfect. Never knew this existed and was always fighting with the cheap unregulated torch heads for cable splice / heat shrink work. A must have tool for any electrician.

I like the quality of the product and ease of operation. I use it for searing steaks and roasts prepared with sous vide. Works very well. i am very happy with it and highly recommend it.
