Sony SLVD360P DVD / VCR Combo

We needed a DVD/VCR player which apparently aren't made anymore. We searched on Amazon and found this one. Not only does it work perfectly, Humble Living has been absolutely great! We couldn't ask for a better vendor! They gave us a warranty and have reached out to us several times to make sure we are happy with the purchase! I think they are amazing and we are so happy to be able to play our videos and dvds once again!!!! FIVE STARS FOR SURE!

This VCR doesnt work. Neither does the dvd player. We plugged it in and hooked up to the TV as per instructions online manual. The only thing that worked was the remote control. I put a video into the VCR and it wouldnt shut the door NOR EJECT, so now my video is STUCK. There was a DVD of Bruce Lee stuck inside the DVD PLAYER and it didnt work. The DVD player turns on and it acts like its reading the DVD and the screen pops up, but it then the entire system shuts down. It's annoying. And NOT WORTH THE PURCHASE! I didn't have time to hook it up prior to November 1st 2019. I didnt know that it would be unboxed and then have the issues that it does. I have a vcr DVD player that doesn't work on both sides. So, I got another one for the use of the VCR with this purchase. Either it wasn't a TRUTHFUL ADVERTISING OF THE VCR/DVD PLAYER or something happened during the delivery from Amazon. It was tightly packed with extreme care and plastic wrap and padding. So, I dont see how anything could have been damaged inside the PRODUCT during delivery. So MJ y conclusion is that the SELLER WAS DISHONEST ABOUT THE SITUATION.

Wow! I shipped all over for a VCR/DVD combo..they're becoming obsolete. My unit was delivered sooner then expected with everything needed and do I ever love it! Great looking, easy hook up, looks and plays fantastic! Highly recommend!

The DVD/VCR combo arrived in good condition and seemed to work fine the first couple of times we used it, but now the DVD player has begun to freeze up. I tested multiple DVDs and still had the problem. The DVDs run fine in another player. So far the VHS is good and that's really what I needed, so I'm going to keep it.

Works great! There was no remote but I knew that when I ordered it. Just bought a $10 universal remote to use with it—no problem! It was delivered promptly! I ordered it for my parents. They are pleased with it!

Having just purchased a Sony LCD TV, I thought I couldn't go wrong with a matching Sony DVD/VCR player. The DVD player appears to be stable and dependable, which has got to be worth something (try finding on Amazon a DVD player with decent consumer ratings from reviewers). But for a consumer leader like Sony, the instructions are depressingly convoluted and reader-unfriendly, packed in a reduced-format manual that doesn't provide full illustrations (front, back, remote) and labels for all the jacks and controls (whatever happened to thin manuals with big pictures and "quick set-up and operation" instructions up front?). I'm not even planning on using the VCR for recording, but I'm still searching the manual to find out why VCR playback isn't registering on the monitor. A few other minor complaints: the VCR does not accept an S-Video connector (common, I guess); the included Sony remote will operate all the TV sets in the house with the exception of my new Sony(!); finally, I'm a bit annoyed that even a trip to the Sony website does not make clear the difference between this set (SLVD360) and the one just above it (SLVD560), other than a twenty-dollar higher price tag. I may annul this unsunny Sony honeymoon and take a look at a lower-priced Panasonic or Phillips (their current ads pitched at non-rocket-scientist consumers must have me in mind). [Addendum: I held on to the machine, which may not have been a wise decision: the VCR is providing the jumpiest image I've ever seen from a VHS tape source.]

Being that these VCR's are ancient artifacts from yester year...I was happy to find some of these still for sale..My Mom is a senior and doesn't like all the "new newfangled electronics. She likes to tape all of her favorite shows and watch them later + she has lots of old movies (some not in print on DVD etc) So when her old VCR went out (It lasted 20 years LoL) I had a hard time even here on Amazon to find her a slightly used VCR..The "New" ones on here are outrageously expensive!!..If I knew back in the day that these VCR`s would go for so much new now I would have ponied up the money and bought several... So far this VCR/ DVD combo works fine..a few gremlins once in a while and * It did Not come with the RCA cables as advertised but luckily I have tons of them left over...,It came looking very un- used no scratches or marks on the shell..We shall see how long it lasts though? Okay...as of 6/13/ 2020.............NO LONGER WORKING...... It made a "poof" sound and no longer worked! Sad too because as of late it worked fine...It wouldn't eject the tape so I had to open it up to retrieve it...Inside was a truck load of dust !!!

I have purchased and used products of all types through Amazon for years. I have always been extremely pleased with the products and service. Ordered this "refurbished" Combo DVD/VHS player. Looked great when unpacked. However afraid to use the VHS part; it arrived with someone else's VHS (Little Women) "stuck" and broken inside the player. The DVD element only works sporadically. Extremely disappointed!!! Would return, but no longer have the box or easy way to return!!!!! So I am just left extremely disappointed and out the money. Will try to find a NEW Combo DVD/VHS player somewhere else ---- it is an item I use at least four times a week. I have spent more time trying to "make" this one work, then enjoying my extensive DVD and VHS library.
