These scissors are very well designed as one side can be removed for sharpening. The side does not come off accidentally. They are comfortable and do a good job even on tough plastic. I have had other kitchen scissors previously and they have been blunt in no time whereas these Japanese scissors are much stronger , sharper and last a long time before requiring sharpening

The best scissors I’ve used in the kitchen, definitely worth the price. The hand grip can be a little uncomfortable if you have large hands and are cutting a lot of meat etc. The way the blades come apart is definitely a highlight as it enables thorough cleaning and drying very easy and will prevent rust in the long term.

Rolld the dice on expensive scissors. Wasn't disappointed! They cut all manor of things in the kitchen and are very sharp. Its great the come apart to wash them under the tap. (Dont dishwash them or they will blunt)

These cut fine at the moment, little dissapointed I thought the handles were metal turns out they were plastic. Not sure if these will turn out to be worth the money in the long run but only time will tell will update my review in 6 months to see if the have stood the test of time.

Good quality Japanese scissors, if you know what you're getting then these will not disappoint, if you expect bulk standard scissors you'll think you've overpaid....these are not much better than cheaper scissors, but in five to ten years you'll appreciate that these should have lasted well and not rusted up....you pay your money you take your choice. Good to keep in the kitchen for chopping up awkward food, then they're easy to wash as they come apart

I own many knives and shears. I absolutely love sharpening using different grits of stones. These shears are unbelievable. From their slightly serrated edges to their light weight, they cut through rubbery skin as well as most medium size bones. They are a joy when working on lobster and Dungeness crabs. They are also easy to take apart and clean. Lastly, they just look great hanging with my Maglio MagnaCut handmade kitchen knives.
