I'm 72 and have been telling my kids, grandkids, great grandkids, family, friends, etc. of my life Journey. I've done filming and video editing for years and made thousands of dvd's with white glossy hub making beautiful designs on the label. However, I'll end up with hundreds of videos and thousands of pictures. It takes a lot of time plus hundred's of dvd's for each person is a great cost in dvd's ink, and mailing. I finally thought as much as I enjoy the dvd's they are expensive and numereous hours for each dvd. I got to searching for the possibility something better. I found it. A SSD-PUT 2TB Drive. It's very small yet holds a large quantity and all I do is go to my files and transfer a copy to my Buffalo SSD. It's a lot faster than my old way. Plus my family and friends can easy carry this and insert into, PC - Mac - TV - etc. Other words it works with everything. Look at the price!!!! I've used other products by Buffalo all have been topnotch. My very expensive project has now saved me lots of money and time, plus it easy to carry than 200 dvd's. LOVE IT

Have had this for a few months and so far so good, even running D3 & Destiny 2 on it no issues. No lag at all! Functionality, transfer speed, design, & ease of installation are all a 10/10. Heat level is very low. I have it plugged in to my rig 24/7.

I purchased this budget 1TB Buffalo External SSD 13 months, to be exact—and it has proven to be an abysmal waste of money. When I first got it, I started loading up my data and files for backup purposes; thankfully, I didn't rely on it daily. It worked initially, but the disaster began when I actually needed to retrieve my files. Using my Mac Mini/MacBook with macOS Tahoe 26.1, the drive became excruciatingly slow. It often struggles just to mount on the desktop, and when it finally does, retrieving data is torturous. I've used countless other, often cheaper, SSDs that still perform phenomenally; I've never encountered a problem this bad. The irony is sickening: I replaced this supposed "Solid State Drive" with a standard external disk drive, and the disk is performing better and faster than this Buffalo trash. I am currently in the middle of transferring 400GB of data, and it has already taken days. Once this transfer is complete, hopefully in what's left of 2025, this drive is getting wiped and tossed directly into the garbage where this piece of junk belongs. Do not buy this drive.

Very easy to use. It fits into any of my PC's USB slots and it has an adapter that allows it to fit into my cellphone (Android). Storage is excellent capacity. I am very pleased with this external SSD!

If it had the built in connecting cord (like earlier Buffalo hard disk) it would have been better . We could avoid connecting each time

The usb is basically fully plastic, that being it bends quite easily without pressing too hard. The rest works fine.

It's a USB stick that can retract. Useless? Yes. Fun? For sure!

Does NOT WORK for Sony Playstation 5 disc edition. Says not compatible. I'm sure my son will find another use for it so my $200 doesn't go to waste.
