Astro Tools 3SB40 World's 1st High Flow 3-Way Air Swivel

I use these on the impacts made by the same company, and it is pretty nice not having to worry about the air hose getting caught on stuff or getting in my face when I'm trying to fit the compact impact where no impact has gone before. They move pretty smoothly and show no signs of leaking or looseness after using them for a few months.

I have another low flow swivel like this, but stopped using it due to that low flow. A different company makes a high flow swivel but it only sticks straight out and swivels a little all around in a circle......it helps but the hose is within 20 degrees or so of straight. This went on an astro body saw which I used to cut out tabs left in an aluminum part when I cnc machined it. The tabs are thin and I didn't want to nick the finished part, and using a 3/8" hose and high flow coupler is quite a bit of weight on the end. With this swivel, the hose just dropped down and hung out of the way. At first, I thought it would be very stiff, but after just a minute of use it moved very easily. Based on reviews, I had ordered two. When I went to grab my smaller straight die grinder, I immediately added the other swivel. My astro 1/2x18 probably needs one now and the other two die grinders would likely be better with them. The hype is true, and I am a tool snob who isn't always easily impressed.

Have 2 of them. Work great after a few months. No leaks. Still swivel smooth. They’re a little thick but it’s high flow. It’s materials science. They’re engineers not magicians. Good tool. Buy it if you use high flows.

It has larger air passages than anything else that I've ever bought, and I bought one that said it was high flow but the passages were smaller than most standard swivels. It's also very well made. I have 5, 2 that get used almost every day and no leaks

these do flow well and work great in that regard but they have one drawback worth mentioning. they are big, bulky and mount to the tool horizontally, not vertically like most others. prevost makes a competitor and is the only other real choice for high flow if you want quality. the prevost is also smaller and less clunky. if you want flow and a smaller size go that way and pay more. if you want to save some money and still have high flow this works it just comes at a cost and that cost is the size

No leaks, moves freely and minimal restriction. I use this swivel on a Matco 1/2” rex impact, which is very air hungry and my ear cant really tell a difference between a regular chuck and the swivel. Doesnt leak as long as you use air tool lube. Anodized color seems to stay on well

I use this swivel with an air whip on die grinders and sanders in tight spaces like under car dashboards. Without the air swivel, it is difficult to maneuver a die grinder or sander to sand welds without damaging the surrounding dashboard, wiring, or heating/cooling ducts.

Had these on my air tools for years, I find them particularly useful with 3/8 impact guns, any air grinding/cutting tools, and my air hammer. They really allow me to get into tight spots and hold the tools at different angles that I wouldn't previously be able to achieve. It's also saved me repairing my airline hoses as I no longer have a stress point where the hose goes into the gun. An absolute fantastic buy, I don't think I could use my air tools without them anymore.

Excellent quality. Larger then others ive seen this size.

Bought this as a birthday gift for a co-worker and it got used for 40 hours a week for probably 10 months getting slammed into the ground and run over by cars. It still doesn't leak at all and has held up flawlessly to tons of abuse. Astro is my go-to tool brand when I need something reliable and with amazing performance (however my 1895 impact gun decided to make the anvil explode and I'm very very impressed by that)

Works great! Been using them on my air guns for almost 2 years, so far no leaks or issues. Same quality as a Blue Point swivel off the tool truck 👌

Nice addition to their Onyx impact gun. Haven’t tested whether or not this swivel really bogged down any performance since I’ve only ran the gun with this on but it is likely negligible if any difference at all in my use case.
